Simon Says Stamp | United We Craft Blog Party

Hello there and welcome to the Simon Says Stamp United We Craft Blog Party! Lots of designers have got together to share some crafty love using older Simon products. We are all going through a difficult time at the moment, but we do all share a love of crafting and that can bring us closer together.

For my card today, I am using the older Simon Says Stamp Cosmos Background Stamp. I purchased this not long after it was released some time ago and never got around to using it, so I thought now was the perfect time to do so! I stamped the background on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then cut a circle from the piece using a Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Die.

I coloured the circle piece using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area for reference) and then added white dots with a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. I took an A2 white card base and using the next largest of the Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Dies, I embossed it on to the front of the card base (I apologise that it is difficult to see in the photos). The image panel was then added on top with foam tape.

I took the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Healing Hugs Stamp Set and stamped it on to Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was then cut in to a strip using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies and added to the card with more foam tape.

  1. Beautiful card. I don't have this particular stamp (yet), but your idea will work great with the background stamps I do have. Thanks for for the inspiration and for providing the Copic colors you used.
