Abstract Triangles

Hello there, today  have another card to share with you that I made last year and never got around to blogging. This one I made back in August. It is just a simple birthday card but I often struggle with male cards and I do like how this one came out.

I started off by taking a panel of watercolour paper and applied Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay Inks on top. I used Black at the top, followed by Blue and then Teal at the bottom. I often do gradients the other way around and have the darker colour at the bottom, but I quite liked it this way around on this card. Once dry, I took the Simon Says Stamp Abstract Triangles Stamp and stamped this on to the panel with Versamark Ink.

I applied Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. The panel was cut down and added to an A2 white card base with tape runner. I then took the MFT Happy Birthday Script Die and cut this five times from white cardstock and stacked them together. They were added to the top of the card with liquid glue. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Raindrops.

I really like how the Bombay Inks blend together and I think they work really well with the subtle pattern on top from the stamp. I remember being in a rush to take photos of this card before I had to post it, so it looks like I didn't get rid of the scraggly bit of the die cuts. I am hoping, however, that they got removed before I posted it to the recipient! Thanks so much for visiting me today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a fabulous day!
