MFT & Friends | December 2019 Release

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining MFT for their MFT & Friends feature today to celebrate the release of the December products. I will be sharing cards throughout the month using the new release, but today I have two cards to share with you using a few new products.

My first card uses the new MFT Bear Hug Bunch Stamp Set. I took the tree, moose and stars from the set and stamped them on to white cardstock using MFT Extreme Black Ink. I coloured them using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and cut them out using the MFT Bear Hug Bunch Die-namics.

I took a panel of Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock and blended Distress Inks on to the top half using blending brushes. I used Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire and Mermaid Lagoon fading to white towards the bottom. I then splattered on some water droplets and set aside to dry. Once dry, the panel was adhered flat to an A2 white card base with tape runner.

I then took the sentiment from the set and stamped it on to MFT Black Licorice Cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was then cut in to a strip and added to the card with foam tape. The moose and tree were added on top with foam tape. I then added the stars with MFT On-Point Precision Glue. To finish off, I added Black Glaze pen to the moose's eyes.

For my next card, I started off by stamping the new MFT Crosshatch Polka Dot Background stamp on to white cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied clear embossing powder and heat set. I then cut this using the MFT Big Smile Die-namics (which is the free with $60 purchase this month).  Taking a blending brush, I blended MFT inks on to the letters, adding more ink towards the bottom of the letter. I used Razzle Berry, Pineapple, Sour Apple, Blu Raspberry and Grape Jelly. I die cut the letters another three times from white cardstock and stacked these up, one on top of another, adhering with MFT On-Point Precision Glue.

The ink blended letters were then added on top. I took a white A2 card base and added a panel of paper from the MFT Black & White Dots Paper Pack to the bottom. I then added a thin strip of MFT Black Licorice Cardstock at the top. I took the sentiment from the MFT Essential Sentiments set and stamped this on to the card using MFT Extreme Black Ink. I added the smile letters on top (using the negative of the die cut to help with placement).
