Concord & 9th | Winter Wear

Hello there, I am delighted to be guest designing with Concord & 9th this month. What a wonderful release this month. I have had a lot of fun creating my cards and I am looking forward to sharing them with you. Today's cards feature the new Winter Wear stamp set and Swirl dies.

For my first card I started off by stamping the girl on to a panel of white cardstock. This Winter Wear stamp set is wonderful as you can mix and match the faces with the clothing accessories. I stamped the scarf first and then the girl's face with messy bun above. I took a craft knife and ruler and cut a line across. I then fussy cut around the girl with scissors to cut the top of the panel off. I stamped the sentiment from the set beside her. I then coloured the girl using Copic Markers (the colours I used are listed below the supplies section).

The panel was set aside while I worked on the background. I took a panel of watercolour paper and die cut the Swirl dies on to the top of it. You can use the dies in any combination but I kept them together as they come in the set. This gave a lovely swirly pattern. I took Wilted Violet and Dusty Concord Distress Inks and blended these on to the panel, to match the purple on the girl's scarf. I then spritzed this with shimmer spray. The panel was added to a white A2 card base and then the image panel added on top with foam tape.

My next card uses the swirl dies for a background again but this time, covering more of the card. I took a panel of watercolour paper and die cut the swirls on to it, leaving a space at the top for the sentiment. I blended Distress Inks on to the panel. I used Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and finally Seedless Preserves at the bottom. I then spritzed the panel with shimmer spray and set aside to dry.

Once dry, I took the sentiment from the Winter Wear stamp set and stamped this at the top using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I cut the panel down, popped the little dots pieces out and adhered this to an A2 white card base with foam tape.
