Spellbinders | Uncork & Unwind

Hello there, I am back today to share the second card that I made for Spellbinders using the Wine Country Collection. Today I am using the Time for Wine A2 Card Front Die which I think is great for lots of different occasions. I love that it covers the whole front of an A2 card so all you need to do is add a sentiment and you are good to go!

I started off by die cutting the die from a panel of white cardstock. I then went ahead and started to create my background. I took a panel of watercolour paper and using a direct to paper technique, I applied Aged Mahogany and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink to the panel. I sprayed the piece heavily with shimmer spray and then set it aside to dry.

I took the sentiment from the Barrel of Sentiments set and stamped this on to black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. This was then cut in to a strip. Once the background was dry, I adhered it to an A2 white card base with tape runner. I then added the frame piece on top with liquid glue. To finish off, I added the sentiment piece on to the top right hand corner with foam tape.

I really love how the background sparkles against the white frame. I will let you into a secret though, I adhered the background panel upside down. I wanted the darker colour to be at the bottom not at the top. Oops! I still think it looks OK though! Thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great day and a fabulous week!
