Anniversary Heart

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Purple Onion Designs for the new release over the next few days. The new release, designed by Stacey Yacula, is full of super cute critters, beautiful florals, wonderful sentiments and some more traditional images too. It is fabulous!
For my card today, I am using the super cute Pecan and Dotty along with the Floating Hearts stamp and Happy Anniversary sentiment. I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment on to it using black ink. I then took a piece of masking paper and die cut a heart in to the centre of it. The negative of the piece was added to the cardstock panel so that I had the heart opening to ink into.

I first stamped the Floating Hearts stamp repeatedly into the heart using Festive Berries Distress Ink. Using an ink blending tool, I then blended over Festive Berries and Aged Mahogany Distress Inks in to the heart. I felt it was a little light, so I added a little Black Soot around the edges to give it more definition. The mask was then removed.

On a separate piece of cardstock. I stamped both Pecan and Dotty using black ink. I coloured them using Copic Markers and fussy cut them out with scissors. The background panel was added to a white A2 card base with foam sheet and DST and then Pecan and Dotty were added on top with foam tape. To finish off, I added a little Crystal Glaze to the little heart in Pecan's hands.
