Merry

Hello there, today I have a cute little tag to share with you. It is using the adorable Merry image from Purple Onion Designs. That must be one of the cutest penguin images ever!

I started off by stamping Merry on to some white cardstock using black ink. I then coloured him in using Copic Markers and fussy cut him out with scissors. I took the MFT Tag Stax dies and cut one from white cardstock. I then took Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and blended this on to the middle of the tag with a stencil brush. I kept it quite subtle but I think it adds that little extra pop. Merry was added on top with foam tape.

I took a piece of PTI Plum Pudding satin ribbon and added this to the top of the tag with the Tim Holtz Tiny Attatcher. I coloured the staples purple with a combination of Raspberry and Purple Twilight Alcohol Inks. To finish off, I added clear Wink of Stella to the purple parts on the present and also on the candy cane.

  1. Michelle, this is just sooooo sweet! Personally, I would add this adorable tag to a card so that it is removable and can be used as a bookmark. It's just too cute not to see/use every day :) Thanks for the inspiration!
