Tiger Lilies

Hello there, aren't the lilies from the Clearly Besotted To Have & To Hold beautiful? I absolutely love lilies - calla and tiger are my favourites. I love tiger lilies but they do make me sneeze! Anyway, on to the card ...

I started off by stamping the lilies on to a white panel of cardstock. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo black ink and masked them off as I went to create a bundle of them. They were then coloured first with a layer of Copic Markers, and then a layer of Polychromos pencils.

The panel was then cut down using a SSS Stitched Rectangle die. The sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental set, was stamped in Versamrk on black cardstock. I applied white embossing powder, heat set and then cut this out. The image panel was adhered to a black A2 card base with ATG. I then added the sentiment with clear foam tape. To finish off, I added a few sequins.

  1. Sigh. Lilies, Copics and Polychromos pencils. A gorgeous combination! My favourites are Irises and ours have just come out and are starting to pass now, but I love the colour and the shape. Down the road from us, the calla lilies are just coming out in someone's garden - they are spectacular. xx

  2. Gorgeous card, Michelle! I'm with you, decorative lilies make me sneeze and give me a headache but I seem to tolerate the Day Lilies in our yard. I prefer to admire the decorative types on paper :)

  4. I love your card Michelle but I'm weird! Unfortunately I don't like getting flowers coz they die and like you make me sneeze too much. Love them in the garden, any flower any colour, like them all and as long as I've taken my hayfever tablets I can go out & take lots of lovely pictures!

    Big hugs
