Thank You Sow Much

Hello there, if you have been following me for a while you will know how much I like pigs. Well, I think I have mentioned it once or twice ;) So of course when the Hog Heaven set came out from MFT, I had to grab it!

I started off by cutting a piece of white cardstock using the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangles dies. I then stamped the pig on to it and again on masking paper. I cut out the one on the masking paper and placed it over the stamped panel. I also cut a cloud border from masking paper. This was placed on the panel also. I then used my Copic airbrush system to colour the sky, moving the cloud piece down as I airbrushed the sky.

I then took the masks off and coloured the rest of the panel using Copic Markers (the colours I used are listed below the supplies list). The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base with foam tape. To finish off, I added Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay pen to the heart.

I got to use my new super duper air compressor at last. My mum kindly bought it for me for my birthday since I had complained I was getting through air cans so quickly. I absolutely love it! Lucky me for having such a wonderful mum! Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great day and a great week!

  1. Ahh all of your cards are so adorable...I literally love all your designs! As a relatively new crafter and on somewhat of a limited budget I wondered if you could recommend a uk based paper supplier? Do you use the same card stock to print your images on to as you do the card base? Thanks! Your YouTube videos are super too btw! :) Elaine

    1. Hi Elaine, thank you for your kind comment :) Yes, I personally use the same white cardstock for everything. The best cardstocks (in my opinion) in the UK are Joanna Sheen cardstock - http://www.joannasheen.com/craft-supplies/inkjet-printer-friendly-papers/pack-of-20-elegance-satin-a4-card-300gsm/ and Craftwork Cards Premium - http://www.craftworkcards.co.uk/260/premium-smooth-white-a4/ I like because they are thick enough for a card base. A lot of people really love Neenah Classic Crest cardstock, the stuff you can get in the UK is 80# weight. For me, it is too thin but a huge amount of people use it. I hope that helps. I have a whole series on cardstock which might help you. If you search cardstock comparison in the search bar on the right sidebar of my blog, you will get two blog posts come up where I have compared a huge amount of white cardstocks :)

  2. So glad you got some time to ink him up. He is so cute! I love how you've done the sky and the air compressor looks like it's very much worth it. Xx
