Yesterday when I got home from work I saw a parcel from Simon Says Stamp on my floor having been posted through my letterbox. I instantly wondered what it was since I knew I wasn't waiting for an order from them (I received my last one about two weeks ago!). I opened it up and inside there was the new Wedding stamp set and the Cake & Congrats dies from their new Pure Sunshine release which is launching today. There was also a simple note telling me to enjoy the products and feel free to share on my blog.
So, since I received these products I wanted to have a quick play with them this morning. Although the sets are wedding themed I feel they can be used for so many different occasions. Today I have made a congratulations card. I first took the scalloped circle and stamped it with SSS Lavender ink and then it cut out using the matching die. I then cut out the larger circle using Bazzill Vellum and layered these on to a white card panel.
I took the congrats die and cut it three times and layered them up adding clear WOS to the top one. This has then been popped on top. I took the Mama Elephant Confetti dies and cut some little stars from Lavender CS and also gave these the WOS treatment before popping on the card. The white panel has been added to a Lavender card base that also has WOS added along the edges.
SUPPLIES:
As my friend Caryn (who also received some beautiful dies) has said, of course this is marketing. If we use the products on our blog/social media they will get more attention. Saying that though, SSS is one of the largest craft shops in the world, they don't really need the marketing do they? But what a way to do it and put a smile on crafters faces! After a pretty stressful day at work it really did put a massive smile on my face so a big thank you goes to Simon Says Stamp. Not only do I receive excellent service every time I order from them, they clearly do care about their customers. Have a great day everyone!
