Hello there, I thought I would take part in the 10 Minute Craft Dash again. This fortnight the challenge is to use buttons on your creation. I decided to do this at the last minute on Wednesday so I didn't really think my card design through that much and just went with it. I used Clearly Besotted Stamps Butterfly Wishes Additions and dies as well as A Little Sentimental - two of my all time favourite stamp sets. Please see below for the video on how I did ...

And if you fancy a giggle, this
is how I made it ...
Yep, I did it in exactly 10 minutes! What on earth possessed me to think I could thread floss through a needle and then sew with it? Oh well as much as I dislike buttons without thread I can live with it and at least it is a card that I could give out to someone unlike my last one.
I got some good news yesterday. I finally got my certificate for my Health Care Practice Degree through. I wasn't expecting to get it until May 2014 as I missed the cut off for my Graduation being this year (my work was handed in in March but that was after some extensions due to being ill). I also found out that I was awarded a higher grade than I had originally thought so I am a very happy bunny! Anyway, thanks so much for visiting me as always. Have a lovely day!
Simply Beautiful Michelle.

Lovely card and congratulations on your degree! Rebecca x
ReplyDeleteHello Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed watching you while you tried to make a card in 10 minutes.
Yeah - you did it!!! Even if the thread-thing didn't work out, you were able to make a mask for the butterfly die (-:
Well done and I love the result, Hawaiian Shores is a nice colour.
Have a lovely weekend!

Fun video, I only like my buttons threaded too! By the way Michelle, had you heard that Papertrey Ink has now introduced a cheaper shipping option? They offer First Class Postage (insured) now, it is still not really cheap , but much better than the original type of shipping (whose name escapes me). I have only ordered from PTI once myself - when I won a PTI voucher (because of postage to Australia). Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThis is the most basic, classic CAS layout ever and it works every single time! LOVE this - so fresh and airy!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, your card is ever so eye-catching! I have this CB butterfly and you've offered wonderful inspiration! Thank you for your warm comment on my site! Super congratulations on earning your degree!!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous Michelle, I LOVE the colour. I have those butterfly stamps and sentiments and I really love them, especially the sentiments.
ReplyDeleteBIG congratulations to you too - that is really fabulous news!

Adorable card, Michelle! It was fun watching you trying to "Beat The Clock" (which was also a very old TV program in the US). Here's my tip - when I thread a button for a card, I often use a Floss Threader (new, not used, lol) which was created for threading floss to clean between your teeth. It's so much easier.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Michelle, on getting your degree ...and getting a higher score than anticipated!! Way to go!
Congratulations on your degree! Well done and getting a Higher grade than expected when you were so poorly is just brilliant. Love your video and your giggles. Thanks x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your degree!

Such a pretty card, Michelle! I love the color combo with this charming butterfly! You did a really great job in the time frame, too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your degree! I know you're a nurse, so could you tell us what your degree is for? If you would rather not, I understand :-)
I am a Nurse Practitioner, so I'm just curious.
By the way, whenever I get gunk or fluff on my stamps, I use the Close to My Heart 'Stamp Scrubber Brush' (I saw Jen McGuire use it in a video). It's a nice soft brush that gets the fuzz off from baby wipes/paper towels. I don't represent them, I just wanted to let you know that you might find it helpful. So sorry for the long post - LOL!
So lovely and I love CBS too :-). Thanks for playing along with us in the 10 Minute Craft Dash and hope to see you again.
