Altenew | Sarah Simon Collab Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today for their collaboration with Sarah Simon of The Mint Gardener. Releasing today are stamps, dies and embossing folders, and I am using two new sets for my cards today.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my first card by stamping the gorgeous image from the Altenew Peony & Lilac Swag Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink and the Altenew Stampwheel. I then placed the Altenew Peony & Lilac Swag Simple Coloring Stencils on top and one by one added ink blending to them to colour the image.

I used Altenew Rose Petal Fresh Dye Inks for the peonies, Altenew Enchanted Garden Fresh Dye Inks for the lilacs and Altenew Green Valley Fresh Dye Inks for the leaves. I blended all the inks using Altenew Mini Blending Brushes. It was then cut out using the Altenew Peony & Lilac Swag Dies. It was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I then cut off the excess using scissors.

I stamped one of the larger sentiments in the set onto white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. It was die cut out using the coordinating die. I also cut the die another two times from white cardstock and adhered these to the back of the stamped one for added dimension. It was adhered to the card using liquid glue. To finish, I embellished with Altenew Crystal Clear Gem Sparkles

For my second card, I used the Altenew Cupcake Cosmos 3D Embossing Folder. I first blended Altenew Lapis Lazuli Crisp Dye Inks onto a panel of white cardstock using an Altenew Large Ink Blending Brush. I then placed it inside the embossing folder before running it through my die cutting machine. I then blended more ink top, to make the flowers a bit darker.

I let the panel dry for a little while and then applied Altenew Cloud White Pigment Ink onto the flowers using a flat foamed Ink Blending Tool. I splattered on Altenew Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray on top for some added sparkle and shine. Once the panel was dry, it was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape

I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew Peony & Lilac Swag Stamp Set onto black cardstock using Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Altenew Crystal Clear Gem Sparkles
