MFT | Christmas Cheer

Hello there, today is the day! The September 2020 release from My Favorite Things is now available to purchase. They kindly sent me a selection of goodies to play with. I instantly fell in love with the adorable fox from the Christmas Cheer set designed by Stacey Yacula.

 

I started off by taking a panel of cardstock and cutting it with the largest of the MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Dies. I then placed the MFT Circle Extraordinaire Stencil on top, followed by the MFT Drifts and Hills Stencil. Using a blending brush, I then blended Tim Holtz Wilted Violet Distress Ink through the stencils. I spritzed it with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Spray Stain (for some added texture and interest) and then removed the stencils and let the panel dry.

 

 

I took the fox from the MFT Christmas Cheer Stamp Set and stamped him on to white cardstock using MFT Extreme Black Ink. I coloured him using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and then die-cut him out using the MFT Christmas Cheer Die-namics. Before adding him on to the panel, I first stamped the sentiment, from the same Christmas Cheer set, below the snowbank scene I created.

 

 

The panel was adhered flat to an A2 white card base with tape runner. I wanted the panel to be the size of the card base but the largest of the dies is just slightly smaller than an A2 card, so I trimmed the card base down slightly to fit the die. I then added the fox on top with foam tape. To finish off, I added Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pen to the present.
