Just Keep Swimming!

Hello there, today I am back with another card using the fabulous new range of stamps from Tracey Hey and Alpaca Pals. Today I am using the super cute Make A Splash Stamp Set., It is filled with lots of fabulous sentiments and four wonderful sea creatures. I decided to use the seahorse for my card today.

I started off by stamping the seahorse using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock. I coloured it in using Copic Markers (the colours used are listed below the supplies section) and fussy cut out with scissors. I took a panel of watercolour paper and added drops of Tonic Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Atlantis Burst and Blue Blitz and sprayed this liberally with water. I left it to dry and then die cut it out using a SSS Stitched Circle Die. I took an A2 white card base and embossed a Hero Arts Circle Infinity Die on to the front panel. The shimmer piece was added inside with tape runner.

I added the seahorse to the card with foam squares and then stamped the sentiment on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. This was then cut in to two strips and added to the card with more foam squares. To finish off, I added a few Raindrops for bubbles and Aqua Shimmer to the purple areas of the seahorse.

I suspect that seahorses are not usually aqua and purple in real-life but they are in my world! ;) For more inspiration using the Alpaca Pals stamps, please head over to Tracey's website and Facebook page. Thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great day!

  2. Yummy cute card, who worries whether seahorses are really aqua & purple in real life, these are adorable so they can be any colour you like. I checked out Alpaca Pals after your first card & have brought one kit, this kit is next on my list. She is so talented, there are so many that i will be buying in future, thanks for the introduction.x

  3. I think they can be a multitude of colours depending on where they live in the sea and these ones live somewhere beautiful and blue. I love her designs. They just need a bit of embellishment and colouring and you have a beautiful card. xx
