I have been feeling a bit under the weather, the heat has seemed to zap all of my energy away and I just haven't been in that much of a crafty mood. Hopefully that will change soon! VIDEO | Happy Birthday To You

Hello there, this month I have the pleasure of Guest Designing over at Craft Mojo. It is a great shop with lots of different products, great prices and excellent customer service. As well as a great DT too! When Sally asked if I wanted to Guest Design, of course I had to say yes! For my card today I am using a sketch from the Crazy for CAS challenge.

 

I have first adhered a strip of mask paper to the top of my panel of cardstock, I have then taken the MFT Bokeh Builder set and taken three of the individual dots and stamped these around the strip. I have used MFT Hybrid inks in Sno Cone (which is very difficult to see in the photo and video but it beautiful!), Grapsicle and Pink lemonade. I then removed the mask paper and stamped the sentiment from the WPlus9 Strictly Sentiments set in the space using MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink. Last but not least I applied some clear Wink of Stella to the pink dots and then adhered the panel to a card base with foam tape.

Butterfly Letterpress

Hello there and happy Sunday to you! Today I have a card to share using Jennifer McGuire's technique of letterpress with wood veneers. I thought it was a great idea as I have a few wood veneers but don't really use them that much. The result is a lovely debossed image with a subtle but pretty wood texture to it.

 

I have taken the SC wood veneer butterflies, applied purple pigment ink on to them placed them ink side down on to the cardstock and run this through my Cuttlebug using the same sandwich I use for embossing with dies. I then took the PTI Fillable Frames stamp set and stamped the Birthday Wishes sentiment with Veramark ink and then embossed with silver embossing powder. I have added a few rhinestones and then popped this panel up on to some PTI Plum Pudding CS and then on to a white card base.
