VIDEO | Updated Cardstock Storage

Hello there, I thought I would pop in quickly to share my updated cardstock storage with you. A while ago I moved my magazine files full of cardstock from the top shelf of my unit to the bottom shelf and turned them sideways. I really like how this turned out as it was so quick and easy to grab the cardstock I wanted. It was in manufacturer/company order but I wanted it in colour order as I think not only does it looks better, I thought it would be easier when choosing the cardstock I want.

I used one of the pieces of the cardstock as a type of divider to add the non-permanent labels to. They come off fairly easily if I ever need to use that piece of cardstock. The benefit of this is that I will always have one piece left and I can then see what colours/type I need to order more of. Behind that piece of cardstock I have a punched pocket that I have cut the holes off. This pocket holds all my scraps/offcuts. I thought about using these to add the whole of the cardstock in but I found it was easier to grab without it.

Here is a close up view:

How do you store your cardstock? Are you a neat freak like me who has to have everything labelled? Thanks so much for visiting me today. Have a good one!

  1. Hi Michelle, yes I store my PTI cardstock this way. I have their pattern packs and matching card stock and use a wallet with scraps in to divide up each section.I only label the wallet though. The rest of my cardstock is in magazine files and stored in an expedit. I do find the PTI card much easier to access so may need to follow you and change my system for all cardstock.I feel a busy day coming!!! X

  2. Wow! What a great way of storage. I might like to do this also because at the moment my storage is not that handy. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Ankie

  3. I just love how you have organized your cardstock. I do it the same way but I am in the process of organizing. I really like that you have combined all of the manufacturers together but are still able to keep track with the labels. I love your neat--you have inspired me to finish what I've started! ♥

  4. Love your storage solution, Michelle. Unfortunately for me, I don't have that kind of space so I keep mine in drawers laying flat. It's not very convenient but it will have to do for now.
