Clearly Whimsy Stamps Sneak Peeks Day 2

Hello there and welcome to day two of the Clearly Whimsy Stamps debut release sneak peeks. Today myself and the rest of the DT and GDT are sharing more peeks with you. If you hop along with us like yesterday and leave us a comment on every step of the way you will be entered into the draw to win a $15 gift certificate to spend in the Whimsy Stamps Store. All of the cards and links to the blogger sharing today are on the Whimsy Stamp Blog.

For my card today I have used the new Feeling Fruity stamp set along with the Feeling Fruity Die set. I have first made the base which is all white on white as you can see. I have cut a tag using a Sizzix die and then punched a whole in the top and added some WRMK Floss to it. This has been added to the base with 3D foam pads. I have then stamped the sentiment from the stamp set, cut this out and popped on top of the tag. The strawberry has been cut using the die set and then liberally covered using the Wink of Stella clear brush pen. This has been added tot he tag with more 3D foam.

Clearly Besotted Challenge - Stamp Your Own Background

Hello there, today there is a new Clearly Besotted Challenge being set. This month the challenge is to stamp your own background. For the background on my card, I have stamped the dots from the Background Builder set on to some PTI Winter Wisteria CS using Versamark ink. I have then taken one of the hearts from the Love Hearts Die Collection and cut this from some PTI Royal Velvet CS before running through my Cuttlebug using the Sizzix Plaid EF. I then cut the banner die from the Tag Along Set and stamped the sentiment from the A Little Sentimental on to it. I have finished off the card by cutting the smaller of the two butterflies in the Butterfly Wishes Die Collection with vellum and glittered them using the Wink Of Stella pen and added rhinestones to their bodies.

SUPPLIES:

The winner of the challenge will receive four Clearly Besotted stamp sets. For full details please visit Stephanie's blog and take a look at the other DT creations as well! Unfortunately I have some sad news to share as well. Maureen (Moe) is having to step down from the DT to concentrate on her studies. She will be surely missed but I wish you all the best with your Masters Moe! Thank you so much for visiting me today.

Yellow Butterflies

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am obsessed with butterflies! :0) Sorry to use them again but as soon as I saw the latest CASE Study Challenge I had this idea in mind.

I love the sketch that Lisa Spangler used on her card and thought it would look pretty with butterflies. I loved her background too. I have used the Hero Arts Envelope Pattern on mine and inked it lightly with PTI Lemon Tart ink. It is very subtle but I love the effect and I just love those butterflies!

Because you cannot really see the background effect in the top pictures I just wanted to darken one to show you:

Thanks so much for visiting me today, I really do appreciate it. Today I should be getting some sort of results from my allergy testing, thank you to those who sent wishes. Have a lovely day!

Harvest Berries Butterfly

This is the card I made for Mum's Birthday this year. I used the Harvest Berries background from PTI and the butterfly is from the Sixxiz & Hero Arts Antique Flower and Butterfly set - unfortunately I have lost the dies somewhere so had to cut it out by hand!

When In Doubt ... CASE!

A few months ago I was lost for inspiration for a card for my Grandma's birthday, I wanted something pretty but just wasn't sure, then I remembered seeing this amazing card by Stephanie Wincott and of course had to CASE it. I changed it around a little but as you can see kept it pretty close to the original.

You Know You're Old When ...

I have made this card for my Aunt who is turning 60 this week ... she has a great sense of humour so I when I was this image by Bugaboo Stamps I knew I had to use it on her card! I have printed Stella out and coloured her with Copics adding touches of glitter and glaze to her glasses. I have mounted her with DB Swimming Pool CS added to base with 3d foam. The sentiment is also by Bugaboo but I changed the font to suit my needs; this has been printed directly onto a sheet from the DCWV The Linen Closet Stack and then also added to base with 3d foam pads. The base is a layer of Bazzill Kraft CS followed by a layer of DB Dragonfly CS then another sheet from The Linen Closet Stack. Elegant Peacock Seam Binding wrapped around and tied in a bow using the Bow Easy. The 'Happy Birthday' is rub ons by Bazzill Basics and the '60' has been cut out using the Sizzix Sizzlits Girls Are Weird alpha set and then glittered with DB ultra fine glitter. Bazziil Jewels added to finish. I hope she likes it!

Anniversary Hearts

The very talented Kerry made this card a while back, I thought it was so stunning that I had to CASE it! Thanks so much for the inspiration Kerry, I hope you don't mind me CASEing it! I have changed the colours and made it into an Anniversary card, I am quite pleased with it {except for the greeting being slightly wonky}. I added a strip of red CS to a white card blank followed by a strip of Doodlebug heart paper {those red flowers are flocked!} and then a strip of white that has been run through my Cuttlebug using the Victoria embossing folder and then added some satin ribbon on top. Hearts cut using a Sizzlits die and added with 3d foam pads. Gem stones added to finish. Greeting stamped from the Woodware 'Tiny Greetings' clear set underneath. This card is made for my cousin and her husband who are celebrating their one year anniversary, I made their Wedding placecards using red & pink and gem stones so I hope they like it and it compliments their memories of their Wedding Day.

The '60' has been cut from DB black CS using the Sizzix 'Girls Are Weird' alpha set.

I have used the ever so cute Reindeer & Sleigh stamp and coloured with Copic markers adding glitter to the sleigh with my Copic Spica pen. I have added to base with 3D foam pads. Happy 21st

I have completely been inspired by a card made by Janet following the Isamaki Sketch for the card below. I have made it for my cousin's 21st on Monday. I have first layered blue CS on to a white card blank then added layers of CS in different shades of blue. I have then coloured Craftwork Cards chipboard numbers with my black Copic marker and added them to one of the layers. The greeting is a Pebbles Inc rub-on and the stars are Sizzlits dies. I have gone round them with a black pen adding little stitches. Two brads to finish.

CS: Anita's, Bazzill Basics. ACCESSORIES: Craftwork Cards chipboard numbers, Sizzlits Hearts, Stars & Tag die, Bazzill Basics brads, Pebbles Inc rub-on, black Copic marker, black Copic fineliner.

My First Sizzix Character!

Apologies I haven't been around much lately. I have been so busy with university work that I have had hardly any time to make any cards sadly. I had a 2,500 word essay to do last week (now handed in) and this week I have a 20 minute presentation to do on Thursday (Argghhh my worst nightmare!) so I am busy writing and preparing for that.

Thankfully I had a small amount of time to make a card for my cousin who graduated a little while ago. I decided to get on and make the card without the PB stamp that I wanted as I was running out of time. I saw the Sizzix graduation outfit at The Glitter Pot and thought it was ideal. I have simply made the sizzix character with lots of different CS and added this to a DL card blank with 3D foam pads. I have added a strip of black Bazzill Bling CS accross the bottom of the card and added a Mini Message, again with 3D foam pads. I had to draw the face on myself (hoping to get my hands on the rub-ons soon), I know it is not great but it is my first attempt. My cousin is a fellow cardmaker so I hope she will understand the thought that went into making this card! Apologies the pic is so small but this is as big as I can get it!

CS: Craftwork Cards Softies, Bazzill Bling, Bazzill, Payper Box. ACCESSORIES: Sizzix Dress Ups Body die set, Sizzix Dress Ups Girl Hair die set, Sizzix Dress Ups Gradulation die set, Craftwork Cards Mini Messages.
