Clear Ranunculus

Hello there, today I have another card I have made as part of the Online Card Classes Sheer & Clear class. This time, it is of the clear variety.

I started off with a piece of heat resistant acetate and stamped the WPlus9 Ranunculus on to it using Versamark ink. I then applied white embossing powder and heat set. I coloured the back side of the acetate with Copic Markers. The colouring is quite messy as you cannot really blend the markers on acetate but I think it works well with the image.

I took a panel of white cardstock and cut a circle from it using the SSS Stitched Circle dies. The acetate piece was then adhered to the back over the aperture. I applied foam tape to the back and then adhered the piece to a 5x5" square card base. The sentiment, from the WPlus9 Unforgettable set was stamped, again using Versamark ink, on to a piece of black cardstock. I heat embossed with white again and cut this out. This was added to the card with clear foam tape.

Be Back Soonish

Hello there, I really didn't want to have to do this but sadly, I am going to have to take a bit of a break from blogging again.

I have been battling some health issues lately and today, as of the time this post goes live, I should be in theatre having an operation to help relieve some of the symptoms for a while (fingers crossed!). Although the actual procedure is pretty minor, the recovery time can be quite long.

I have made a few cards recently, and one of them will be scheduled for Wednesday, but sadly I haven't had the time to schedule the rest. Sorry about that. I am hope to be back soon. I hope you are all doing well and wish you a great week.

Thank You

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the beautiful Mama Elephant Thank You Wishes stamp set. I bought this set a little while ago and I have finally now managed to use it! I love the font on this thank you sentiment.

I started out by cutting a piece of watercolour cardstock using the ME Femme Frame rectangle die. I then stamped the thank you with Versamark ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. I then blended over Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistacio and Peacock Feathers.

I added the panel on to a white A2 card base using foam tape and to finish off, I added a few PPP Sparkling Clear sequins.

I love sentiments that cover a whole card panel. They make for really quick but great cards. Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great weekend!

VIDEO | Simon Says Stamp Haul #13

Hello there, today I have a Simon Says Stamp haul to share with you. I had been after the Hero Arts Acetate Cards for a while but unfortunately there were always out of stock when I made an order. Finally I managed to get hold of them, along with a few other bits.

I have been slowly building my collection of the TH Mini Distress Inks. You can get them in the UK now but all of the colours are not widely available so I picked up a few in this order. I also got a few other essentials. Here is a look at what I got:

Clear & Sheer

Hello there, I recently took the Online Card Classes Clear & Sheer card class. I am now finally getting around to doing some homework for it (naughty student!). Today's card is of the sheer variety, using vellum. This card was inspired by the amazing Debby Hughes.

I started off by die cutting the Create A Smile Thanks Twice Die using watercolour cardstock (I wasn't sure at the time whether I was going to watercolour it or not). I then blended on Peacock Feather Distress Ink, making it darker at the bottom. I then die cut a pierce circle from white cardstock and some vellum leaves.

I took a piece of paper from the new MFT Watercolor Wash paper pad and cut this using the ME Femme Frame rectangle die. This was adhered to a white A2 card base. I then added the circle piece on top and cut off the excess to the side. The vellum leaves were added on top, followed by the thanks piece (adhered with clear foam tape). To finish off I added some sequins.

I definitely chanelled my inner Debby Hughes on this card! I love her soft layered look, while still keeping the card clean and simple. I seem to be having trouble with my photographs at the moment. They all appear to have a blueish or pinkish tinge to them, no matter what I do. So I do apologise for that, I am trying to work out how to solve it. Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great week.
