Happy Halloween!

This is a quick card I have made for my mum. I have first taken some black CS and made into a card base then added a layer of DB Butterfly CS then a sheet of DB Pumpkin Patch paper on top. I have cut a MFT Die-Namics Bracket Border from DB Beetle Black CS, added to the base and wrapped around with DB Halloween Doodle Twine. I have then cut out the circles using Nestabilities dies and added a DB Doodle-Pops Pumpkin sticker on; this has been added to the base with 3D adhesive squares. Three DB Sugar Coated brads added to finish.

For the inside I have added more DB Butterfly CS and then cut a circle from white and stamped the greeting using the CC Designs Amy R Ghostly Greetings Set in Memento inks. I have then stamped a bat from the CC Designs Gift It Halloween Style set on to white CS and then cut out, adding a little glitter with a Spica clear pen.

I have made this card for my nephew Jake who was one this week ... where does the time go?! I have used the currernt Sketch n Stash sketch for the layout. I have first taken some Doodlebug Hip Hip Hooray paper and mounted to it DB Blue Jean CS and then a white card balnk with my ATG. I have then taken another strip of Blue Jean CS and wrapped around with DB Limeade Doodle Twine and added this to the card with 3D adhesive squares. I have cut a circle from DB Bubble Blue CS using a Nestabilities die and then a Nestabilities star from BD Limeade CS and added this to the circle. I have then cut a number one using the PTI By The Numbers Die Set from DB Blue Jean CS - this has been added the start and circle with 3D adhesive squares. The circle has been added to the card base with 3D foam. I have then added the stars cut from DB Tangerine Petite Prints and Ladbyug CS. A card with no stamping is quite rare for me!

Copic Colouring

So, after recieving requests to see how I colour using Copic Markers I have finally made a video. I need to add that I am not Copic Certified and this is not a teaching video, it is just to show you how I colour images using my Copic Markers.

The image is by Some Odd Girl and I have printed it on to Craftwork Cards Softies CS in Alabaster.

Apologies that I am not speaking on it, I had meant to but when I came to edit the video and add the vocals I realised I didn't have a microphone to add it.  I did add a soundtrack but You Tube seems to have disabled it. If you visit my channel and view directly from there I can hear the sound but if you view the video embedded below I can't, not sure why that is?? Either way I apologise.

Here is the link to my You Tube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/misschelleshort

I hope that this may have helped some of you, thanks for watching.

I have then cut this out with a Circle Nestabilities die, this has been added to a PTI Mat Stack 3 Die shape which has been stamped using one of the stamps from the PTI Mat Stack 3 Collection in red ink. I have then stamped the greeting in black ink. I have then added the circle image on top with 3D foam. The panel has then been adhered to a white card blank with my ATG.

Happy Halloween

I love making Halloween cards but usually if I make one or two I don't give them to anyone. We don't celebrate Halloween here like the states. Anyway, I have made this card 'cos I couldn't resisit the new Monster Mania Doodlebug Collection! First of all I have used a digi CC Designs image, downloadable from their website, called Hilda & Vlad, printed from my PC and coloured with Copic Markers. I have then mounted this to DB Beetle Black CS and rounded one of the corners with my WRMK Corner Chomper. This has been added to the base with my ATG. The base is a sheet of Doodlebug 'Spinning Spiders' paper {it's so cute, the webs are all glittered} and layered it with more black CS with two corners rouned. This has then been wrapped with Doodlebug Twine and a Doodlebug Bat Button added. Three Doodlebug Sugar Coated brads have been added to the corner. I have then added the whole thing to a white card blank with 3D adhesive squares, again rounding two corners. The Doodlebug 'Doodles' Sentiment has then been added.

Can you tell I love Doodlebug Designs?!!!

Hello there, I am back with another tour video of my craft room. I have changed a few bits around and added some new furnature so I thought I'd show another little video ... took ages to upload to You Tube though!

Apologies in advance for all the "ummm"'s and the dodgy camera work, oh and I seemed to have picked the gloomiest day of the year to film it too, apologies it is so dark! ...

If you want to know any info about anything you have seen please just leave me a comment below and I will try and get back to you. I think I will try and do a couple of mini videos on how I store my clear stamps and dies etc if anyone is interested?

Thanks for visiting, have a good evening!

WOYWW

I haven't participated in WOYWW for a while, mainly because I haven't had anything interesting to share! Well this isn't that interesting but this is what my desk looks like today! So so messy - I hate it! It is not usually messy at all but with one thing and another I haven't managed to tidy it up. I have tons of Memento dewdrops and stamps everywhere, my ATG gun is there - I hadn't got on with this that well when I first bought it but I am getting used to it now :0) At the front of the desk however is a little SU! order from the lovely Jules that just came. The new In Colours and I thought I would treat myself to some of the Stampin' Spots as well :0)

Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing your desks too. I am off to tidy up!

Balloon Kaylee

This card takes me back to when I first fell in love with making cards. One of my first loves in the card making world was Doodlebug Designs Inc and I still love them today, I love the bright colours and how everything co-ordinates. Another one of my first loves was colouring, back then it was with watercolour pencils not Copics but all the same I loved it and still do. I remember when I found 3D foam pads too - I thought they were the best thing since sliced bread! Anyways ... this card takes me back to where I started. Can you remember your first loves?

I have first stamped Some Odd Girl Balloon Kaylee out and coloured her with Copic Markers adding a little white Inkessentails pen to her eyes; she has been cut out and mounted to DB Dragonfly CS and added to the base with 3D foam pads. The base is a piece of DB Swimming Pool Swiss Dots paper mounted with more Dragonfly CS and wrapped around with PTI Hawaiian Shores Ribbon and then MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky "Together" Twine. I have then added a DB Swiming Pool Boutique Button with the twine and added the whole thing to a white card blank with 3D adhesive squares. A CC Designs Amy R sentiment stamped from the Birthday Sentiments collection on to more white card and mounted again; also added with 3D foam. Doodlebug Lily White Mini Jewels added to finish.

STAMPS: Some Odd Girl, CC Designs. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. COPICS: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20; Hair - E23, E25, E27, E29; Jacket & Shoes - E41, E42, E43, E44; Clothes & Balloon - BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15; Shadow: C3, C1.
