Hello

Hello there, I was in the mood to colour the other day. When I really want to colour, I tend to pick images that requite some shading, I thought the Santoro Gorjuss Ladybird image was perfect for this.

I started off by stamping the Gorjuss girl on to a panel of white cardstock. She was then coloured with Copic Markers. I used a white gel pen on the polka dots on her dress and hair bow. I also added a little clear Wink of Stella to her hair bow and band on her dress.

Once coloured, I stamped the sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted Sentimental Type stamp set, beside her. The panel was then adhered to a white A2 card base.

A really simple card but I think the colouring pops against the white background. Thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great day!

Background Check | Homework

Hello there, I am currently taking part in the Online Card Classes Background Check class. I don't often get around to sharing my homework with you but today, I thought I would show you what I have been up to. I apologise that if you follow me on Instagram, you would have already seen these projects, but hopefully you won't mind seeing them again!

Day One (Monday) shared inking techniques and I decided to have a play using a technique by the amazing Jennifer McGuire. She used an inked background along with a stencil (I used the SSS Flower Pattern stencil) and a baby wipe to get an ink reaction. It was great fun, even if my hands were bright pink and orange afterwards!

Day two (Yesterday) shared stamping techniques. I decided to have a play with a technique by the amazing Kristina Werner. She made a pattern using dye inks, along with white pigment ink. Again, I had a lot of fun with this technique. I used the MFT Bokeh Builder set to create the dots.

I am really enjoying the class so far and hope to get these backgrounds I have made on to cards soon. Are you taking the class? If you are, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am! Thanks so much for visiting me today, have a great day!

Thanks

Hello there, I was kindly sent some products from docrafts to play with a few weeks ago. One of the products I was sent was the Papermania Folk Floral Ultimate Die-Cut and Paper Pack. I have to admit, I haven't used Papermania products for a long time (docrafts is where I first started crafting, so I used to use all their products) but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pack.

I started off by taking a piece of white cardstock and running this through my Cuttlebug using the PTI Linen Impression Plate. I then added a strip of paper from the Folk Floral pack to the left side of this. I die cut a CB Scallop Tag from some vellum and added this on to the panel.

I took one of the die-cut pieces from the Folk Floral pack and adhered this on top of the tag, with thin foam tape. I then wrapped some Hemptique cord through the top of the tag and adhered the panel to a 4-bar notecard. I finished off by adding some MME enamel dots and a little clear Wink of Stella to the flowers on the die-cut piece.

I was channelling my inner Debby Hughes when I made this. I just love her delicate and elegant cards. Thank you so much for visiting me today, I really do appreciate you stopping by. Have a great day!

Consider Yourself Hugged

Hello there, I wanted to send a friend a hug and since I cannot do it in person (we live across the other side of the world from each other), I thought I would do it in card form. I thought the WPlus9 Happy Mail set would be perfect for it. How cute is that sentiment? :)

I started off by stamping the bear, masking him off and adding the log underneath him, so he is sitting on it. I then stamped the butterfly, butterfly trail and sentiment. I then went to town colouring the image in using Copic Markers.

I freehand coloured/drew in the clouds, the middle one is a bit of an odd shape but I kind of wanted them to be irregular! Once coloured I added the panel on to a white card base using foam sheet. To finish off, I added a little Glossy Accents to the butterfly.

Hello

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the new MFT Things With Wings stamp set. I knew it wouldn't be long before I busted it out, it is just so cute! I am also using ink blending with Copic colouring again, since I really liked the look when I last did it.

I started off by stamping the tree and owl and masked these off using masking paper. I then took the line image from the LF Hello Sunshine stamp set and stamped this so it made a landscape or hill. This was also masked off while I added some ink blending above, using TH Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a blending tool. I took the other half of the mask and masked off the top portion to add TH Mowed Lawn Distress Ink on to the hill.

The tree and owl were then coloured using Copic Markers. I also added a little Wink of Stella to the owl's wings, as well as a coating of Glossy Accents. Every owl needs purple, sparkly, glossy wings don't they?! :) I finished off by stamping the 'hello' sentiment and mounting the panel to a white A2 card base with foam sheet.

Hello there, I am back today with a little haul to share with you. I was lucky enough to win a gift voucher from MFT Stamps for participating (and winning) in their Quiet Space class as part of MFT Summer School. So of course, I had to have a little spending spree didn't I? ;)

Make The Day Special are now also selling MFT products (yay!), so I also picked up two things from there as well.
