Clearly Besotted Teasers | Happy Anniversary

Hello there and welcome to day four of the Clearly Besotted February 2023 Teasers. Release day is tomorrow, 1st February 2023 but I do still have two more teasers to share with you. For my card today, I am using the new Rain Down Line Up. This set is another set with an April Showers theme.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by stamping the frogs image from the Clearly Besotted Rain Down Line Up Stamp Set on to white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The image is actually part of a larger stamp with another two frogs, but I masked those off to have just the two under the umbrella. They were coloured using Copic Markers and then fussy cut out with scissors.

I die cut a panel of white cardstock using a Spellbinders Essential Hearts Etched Die. The Clearly Besotted Around About Stencil (the grass part) was placed at the bottom and then I added ink blending with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks and blending brushes.

For the sky, I first placed the Clearly Besotted In The Clouds Stencil on top and added ink blending with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. I then placed the Clearly Besotted Lots of Love Stencil on top of that and blended on some hearts. I did this moving down the heart panel to cover the sky with clouds and hearts, as to look like it was raining hearts.

The heart panel was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape. The frog image was then added on top. I took the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Tiny Type Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into strips and added to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a few white gel pen highlights.

Clearly Besotted Teasers | Easter Blessings

Hello there and welcome to day three of the Clearly Besotted February 2023 Teasers. Release day is 1st February 2023, so not long to wait now! My card today uses the new Easter Line Up set. If you are familiar with the Line Up series, there are images of critters all in a line, so no need for any masking (unless you want to!).

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by stamping the lambs image from the Clearly Besotted Easter Line Up Stamp Set on to a panel of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then made a mask for it by stamping the image on to masking paper, fussy cutting it out and placing it over the top.

Using ink blending brushes, I then blended Distress Inks below for the grass. I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness. I removed the mask and coloured the image using Copic Markers, adding in dots over the ink blending on the grass for some added texture. Using scissors, I then cut around the top of the image, leaving a small white border.

I took another panel of white cardstock and placed the Clearly Besotted Cloudy Day Stencil on top. Using an ink blending brush, I blended on Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink for the sky. I moved the stencil down to create another line of clouds. The panel was then adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape.

The sentiment from the Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental Stamp Set was stamped on to the panel below the image using more Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The panel was then adhered to the card with another layer of thin foam tape.

Clearly Besotted Teasers | Unfrogettable Birthday

Hello there and welcome to day two of the Clearly Besotted February 2023 Teasers. Release day is Wednesday 1st February 2023 but we are sharing teasers everyday until then. Today I am using the new Rain Down Corners set. This set has an April Showers feel to it and can be used for lots of different occasions.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

To start my card, I stamped the frog corner image from the Clearly Besotted Rain Down Corners Stamp Set on to white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then coloured it using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and fussy cut out using scissors.

I took another panel of white cardstock and added ink blending to the bottom right hand corner using Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and an ink blending brush. I splattered on Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White Paint and then set it aside to dry. Once dry, it was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with tape runner adhesive.

The corner image was adhered on top with thin foam tape. I took the sentiment from the set and stamped it on to black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and added to the card with more thin foam tape. To embellish, I added Little Things from Lucy's Cards Raindrops. To finish, I added white gel pen highlights to the image.

Clearly Besotted Teasers | Sending Smiles

Hello there and welcome to the start of the Clearly Besotted Teasers for February 2023. Release day is Wednesday, 1st February and from now until then, we will be sharing teasers with you using the new sets. For my card today, I am using the new Oops A Daisy set. This adorable set features lots of ducks/chicks with daisies.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by die cutting a panel of white cardstock using the Sunny Studio Slimline Pennants Dies. I then stamped the daisy scene from the Clearly Besotted Oops A Daisy Stamp Set on top using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I also stamped the chick holding the daisies on to a separate piece of cardstock, using the same ink.

I made a mask for the daisies by stamping the image on to masking paper. I fussy cut it out with scissors and placed it on top of the image. Using Ink Blending Brushes, I blended on Distress Inks. I used Peacock Feathers for the sky and Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness for the grass. The masking paper was removed and the daisies coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies list).

The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape. I coloured the chick and daisies image with Copic Markers too, fussy cut out with scissors and adhered to the card with more thin foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from the set on to black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card. To finish off, I added white gel pen dots to the daisies and Crystal Glaze to the chick's beak.

COPIC MARKERS: Chick - YR27, Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11/YR18, YR15, YR12. Daisies - V09, V17, V15, V12/RV19, RV66, RV55, RV52/G29, YG17, YG23, YG01.

As you can see (although I do think you can get different colour daisies), you can colour the flowers to be any generic flower, which I love. The animal can also be a chick, duck or bird, so there is scope for different designs/possibilities.

For more inspiration using the new release, please head over to the Clearly Besotted Blog and my amazing teamie Keren. We also have our wonderful resident guests back with us this month - Alberto, Francine and Kitty, so please do check out what they have been up to as well. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!

VIDEO | Flower Layering Dies with Ink Blending

Hello there, today I have a tag and video to share with you that I made back in July last year for Altenew. I have a huge backlog of videos to share here, so I apologise if you have already seen it!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

For the tag, I started off by die cutting the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Garden Rose Layering Die Set from white cardstock. I then added ink blending to the petals using Altenew Glacier Crisp Dye Inks. I used Altenew Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Inks for the flower centre and then Altenew Green Valley Crisp Dye Inks for the leaves. The flower was then assembled together.

I die cut a tag using the Altenew Terrific Tags Die Set and added ink blending to it using Altenew Golden Sunset Crisp Dye Inks. The leaves were adhered on top with Altenew 2 in 1 Precision Glue Pen and the flower adhered with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape

I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew Bold Sentiments Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. It was cut into a strip and added to the tag with more foam tape. To embellish, I added a few Altenew Essential Black & White Enamel Dots (just the white ones) and then to finish off, I added twine through the top of the tag and tied in a bow.

Here is the video showing how I made the tag:

Spellbinders | Anemone Blooms

Hello there, today I have two cards to share with you using the Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula. I shared two projects using the hot foil plates HERE. Today, I am sharing two projects using the dies.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

The Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Etched Dies are beautiful and can be used in different ways. There is the main die with the outline and also the shadow piece too. I started off the pink card by die cutting the outline die first from Hero Arts Peony Cardstock. I made sure to try and not cut all the way through the cardstock (by not using a shim, which I would usually do) to keep all the inside parts of the flowers inside of the outline (but still cut around the edges of the shape).

I then die cut it again from white cardstock but this time cut all the way through. I added ink blending to the pink piece with Distress Inks to give some dimension and colour to the petals. I used Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves with a small ink blending brush. I then adhered the white die cut layer over the top. This is a cheats way of doing die cut inlay. It is not technically inlay, as it is not all one level, but a much quicker way of doing it!

I masked off the top edges of a US A2 sized white card base and added more ink blending with the same Distress Inks, focusing the colour at the top of the card and fading to white at the bottom. I cut the Spellbinders Anemone Blooms Etched Dies shadow piece from vellum and adhered the other piece on top. This was then adhered to the card with thin foam tape.

I took the 'hello' sentiment from the Spellbinders Wonderful Script Sentiments Etched Dies set and cut the shadow piece from white cardstock and the word itself from Spellbinders Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets - Peony Pinks (Glitter Light Pink) and adhered it on top. It was then added to the card.

I took the 'friend' from Spellbinders Hello, Friend Sentiments Glimmer Hot Plate and foiled it on to white cardstock with Spellbinders Black Glimmer Hot Foil Roll. It was cut into a strip and added to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems

For the purple card, I made the flower in the same way as the pink one. I cut the Spellbinders Anemones Blooms Etched Dies from Spellbinders Purple Mist Cardstock and added Distress Ink in Wilted Violet and Villainous Purple on top. The white outline was adhered on top and then the whole thing adhered to the vellum shadow piece.

I then ran it through my die cutting machine to emboss above it using the Spellbinders Diamond Plaid Embossing Folder. This was completely inspired by Yana Smakula herself, who does this a lot and I love the result! The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized Purple Amethyst card base and then the anemones added on top with thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Silver Mix Color Essentials Gems

Spellbinders | Gerber Daisy

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the new Gerber Daisy & Ladbugs Etched Dies from the Painter's Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. Gerber Daisies, or Gerberas, as they are known here in the UK, are one of my favourite flowers. I am not sure why, but I always think of them as  happy flowers!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by die cutting the Spellbinders Gerber Daisy & Ladybugs Etched Dies (minus the ladbybugs!) from white cardstock. I added ink blending to the pieces using Distress Inks. I used Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves for the pink flower and Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade for the yellow flower.

For the leaves, I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. The flower centres were cut from Spellbinders Onyx Cardstock. I shaped and assembled the flowers as per Susan's video (as best as I could!) and then adhered the layers using Bearly Art Glue. They were adhered to a panel of white cardstock (with scoring lines on) using Bearly Art Glue and thin foam tape.

The panel was adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with more thin foam tape. I then popped the leaves under the flowers and adhered with foam tape also. To finish the flowers, I adhered an few Spellbinders Onyx Color Essentials Gems to the centres.

The sentiment from the Spellbinders Making Me Smile Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set was foiled on to white cardstock with Spellbinders Champagne Glimmer Hot Foil Roll, die cut out and then adhered to the card.

I will share more with the Four Petal Collection next month. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day and a great week ahead!

VIDEO | MFT Bunny Kisses

Hello there, I was over on the My Favorite Things YouTube channel yesterday, sharing a cute Valentine's Day card using the new YUZU Hunny Bunny set. This set is so cute and although great for Valentine's, can be used for other occasions too.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by stamping the bunny with balloon and cloud images from the MFT Hunny Bunny Stamp Set on to white cardstock with black ink. I then coloured them using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area for reference). They were then die cut out using the MFT Hunny Bunny Die-namics

I took a 5.5" x 2.25" panel of white cardstock and placed the MFT Rolling Clouds Stencil on top, holding down with low-tack tape. Using a blending brush, I blended on Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on top to create a cloudy background. I moved the stencil down as I went to cover the panel.

I stamped a sentiment from the MFT Hunny Bunny Stamp Set on to MFT Black Licorice Cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and then the elements adhered to the panel using either tape runner adhesive (for the top cloud under the bunny's ear) or thin foam tape.

The panel was then adhered to a US A2 sized white card base with more thin foam tape. I embellished with Little Things from Lucy's Cards Bubbles (iridescent droplets), adhering with MFT On-Point Precision Glue. To finish off, I added Black Glaze Pen to the bunny's eyes and Clear Glaze Pen to her nose.

I think that bunny is absolutely adorable! Spellbinders | January 2023 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Spellbinders today to celebrate the January 2023 Clubs with a fun blog hop. There were lots of new club kits launched this month including the Stitching Club and the 3D Embossing Folder Club. Today I am sharing another card using the Large Die of the Month Club. You can see my first card using the kit here

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

Sadly, the January 2023 Large Die of the Month Club Kit has sold out on the US website but there are still lots of other kits available to purchase this month. Hopefully you are still happy to see some more inspiration using the kit though anyway!

I started off by die cutting one of the shape dies from the Spellbinders Geo Foliage Hot Foil Plate & Die Set as a base for my flowers. I cut two from white cardstock, layered them up one on top of another and adhered to a US A2 sized white card base.

I then die cut the flowers and leaves from the Spellbinders January 2023 Large Die of the Month Club Kit. I cut the flowers from Spellbinders Waterfall, Teal Topaz and Blue Spruce Cardstock. The flower centres were cut from Spellbinders Snowdrift Cardstock. The leaves were cut from Spellbinders Silver Fox Cardstock and Spellbinders Vellum Sheets

The flowers were adhered to the card using Bearly Art Glue. I started with the three main flowers and then popped the leaves behind. I took the sentiment from Spellbinders Yana's Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and foiled it on to white cardstock using Spellbinders Black Glimmer Hot Foil Roll. It was die cut out and adhered to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Onyx Color Essentials Gems

Simon Says Stamp | Hugs Heart

Hello there, today I have a card to share with you using the new Simon Says Stamp Nested Round Hearts dies. They are releasing today as part of the Kisses release, which also coordinates with last month's Hugs release.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off by creating a heart shaped card base. I cut two of the larger hearts from the Simon Says Stamp Nested Round Hearts using white cardstock. On one, I cut a little bit off of the bottom of the heart (so that the card can stand up nicely) and then made a score line about half an inch from the top using a Scoring Board. This creates a hinge. I added adhesive to the hinge and adhered it to the back of the other heart to create the card base.

I then cut cardstock strips to add to the card. I used one of the smaller dies from the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies and cut it from Hero Arts Cardstock in Paradise, Mist, Passion Flower, Amethyst and Iris. They were adhered to the card in a diagonal and the excess cut off the sides with scissors.

I die cut three of the smaller hearts from the Simon Says Stamp Nested Round Hearts Die Set twice from white cardstock and layered them up for some dimension. They were then adhered to the card with Bearly Art Glue. I also die cut three of the 'hugs' word from the Simon Says Stamp CZ Design Basic Trio Dies from black cardstock. They were also layered up one on top of another for dimension before adhering to the card. To finish off, I added a few Little Things from Lucy's Cards Raindrops
