My Bank Holiday Weekend ...

Has been spent re-painting the walls of my craft room/study. I have painted them the same colour, well this shade has a little more purple tone in it but it is the same name on the tin! I like the colour so didn't want to change it, just wanted to make it all a little fresher. I have also added some new shelves for my Prima's and re organised my 6x6 papers and some of my stamps. Here are a few photo's ...

Once I have finished organsing everything properly then I will do another little video.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend,

Happy 40th Anniversary

I have made this card for my Aunt & Uncle who celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary today. I have CASEd one of my own cards here but changed the colour. So first up I have printed the greeting from my PC using 'Fabulous 50s' font {I have 'borrowed' this from Diva LIM Mandi - thank you!}. I have then gone over the 40 with a clear Spica pen. I have added piercing either side of the greeting using my Tim Holtz ruler. For the hearts I have cut out two squares from Bazzill Kraft CS using a Nestabilities die and then stamped the hearts (Elzybells) on top using Memento Lady Bug ink. To finish I have attached Doodlebug buttons to the panels with white floss and added to the card with 3d foam.

I am entering this card into the current Less Is More challenge of Things That Move. Now I know I have used a bit of artistic licence here but as hearts beat they move. Hopefully Mandi & Chrissie agree!

STAMPS: Elzybells Art Stamps. INK: Memento Lady Bug, Copic Spica At You Glitter Pen. CS: Craftwork Cards, Bazzill Basics. TOOLS: Nestabilities, Tim Holtz Ruler, piercer tool, PC. EMBELLISHMENTS: Doodlebug Buttons, We R Memory Keepers Floss.

Thanks for visiting today, for the first time in ages I have had the whole weekend off work and it has been lovely, hope yours has too!

PTI Haul Video

Hey all, I am back with another haul video. This time with a massive order from Papertrey Ink in the US. There has been some recent controversy with regards to their shipping charges on blogland recently and I have explained my thoughts a little on it at the start of the video. This is a massive order therefore expected to pay high shipping charges but for me it was worth it as it's not like I order from them every month. Apologies for the shaking camera at the start but it doesn't continue throughout! Anyway, I hope you enjoy looking ...

Thanks for visiting today, I hope you are all well. For some reason at 4pm this afternoon I decided my craft room needs a re-paint! I have bought some new paint (the same colour) and I am going to re-do the walls tomorrow. I have bought some new shelves for my Prima's and before I put them up I thought I may as well get the walls looking a bit fresher.

Let's Get Inky ... LIM

This week's Less Is More challenge is to make a one layer card using ink. Now I know my entry isn't exactly original but inky isn't quite me. I can stamp with inks ... yes I can do that but ink techniques ... sadly not. I do have a few Distress Inks (un-used) so I decided to try and use one of those for a change. I have made a mask using a Nestabilities circle die and put this on a white card blank covering up the corners with post-it notes. I have then inked inside the mask using Tim Holtz Broken China Distess Ink using an Inkessentials Blending Tool. I have then stamped the butterflies and greeting - from the PTI Butterfly Dreams set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink - my all time favourite ink! I have then added a little bling to the butterflies bodies.

STAMPS: Papertrey Ink. INK: Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Memento Tuxedo Black. CS: Craftwork Cards. TOOLS: Nestabilities, Inkessentials Blending Tool. EMBELLISHMENTS: Papermania Adhesive Gems.

I am actually sending this card to a lovely crafty friend and hope she doesn't mind me adding it to my blog before I post it this afternoon! Thanks for visiting me today. I am off now to see the other entries, I don't look until I have submitted. Have a great day!

Bundle Of Baby - DTDF

Hello all, today I have a card to show you that I have made for my friend who had a baby girl last week. She has called her Isabelle which I think is such a cute name. So for my card I have used the new My Favourite Things A La Mode Bundle Of Baby stamp, I have stamped her out and coloured with Copic Markers, adding a little Spica to the rattele, cut out and mounted to base with 3D foam. The base I have made by layering up Bazzill Kraft CS with a piece from the new MME Lost & Found 2 Blush Collection and then a strip of MME Lost & Found Madison Avenue "Cherish" Journal Paper on top. I have wrapped some Pink Tulip Seam Binding around, as well as a piece of WRMK 'Princess' Floss and tied a Doodlebug button on with the floss. I have stamped the 'she's here' greeting on to white card and popped under the button. I have then made the bunting using the MFT Banner Strip & Mini Alphabet Set and cut the strip with MME Lost & Found Madiosn Avenue "Pretty" Polka Paper and stamped isabelle using the stamps in the set. I have then added little Bazzill Self Adesive Jewels to the strip.

For the inside I have layered up more Bazzill Kraft and then white with a strip of the MME Journal Paper and stamped the image using Memento Rose Bud ink. The greeting which also comes in the set has been stamped on the strip.

STAMPS: My Favourite Things. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black & Rose Bud. COPICS: Skin - E0000, E000, E00 & R20. Hair - E34, E33, YR23, Y23. Leggings - N9, N8, N7, N6, N5. Flag Colours - LIM

I have made this card for the current Less Is More challenge of using your flag's colours. I have gone for the British flag colours of red, white & blue. I have kept the card VERY simple by cutting out a circle of white card using a Nestabilities die and adding this to a white card blank with DST. I have then cut a a star from DB 'Blue Jean' CS using a Nestabilities die and wrapped with We R Memory Keepers 'Hot Tamale' Floss and added a DB star button. The star has been added to the circle with 3D foam. I have then cut a label using one the Memory Box Primo Labels and stamped the Hero Arts (Classic Messages) sentiment inside, again added with 3D foam.

STAMPS: Hero Arts. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. CS: Craftwork Cards, Doodlebug Designs. TOOLS: Nestabilities Circles & Stars Dies, Memory Box Primo Labels. EMBELLISHMENTS: We R Memory Keepers Floss, Doodlebug Uncle Sam Star Button.

Thank you for vsiting me today, I went back to work on Monday and it was very tough. Hopefully I will get back used to it soon.

Top Chef

It was my brother's birthday yesterday and after racking my brains for weeks on what I should do for his card I finally came up with this. He has been known to throw a BBQ or two so I thought this image would be quite good for him. I have stamped LOTV Top Chef out and coloured him with Copic Markers, cut him out, matted him with Kraft CS and added to base with DST. The base is layers of paper from the SU! Celebrations Collection (available from the lovely Jules) layered up with Bazzill Kraft CS. These have then been added to a white square card blank with 3D foam. I have then stamped the sentiment out from the Ladybug Crafts Ink It's Only Words 1 set on to more Kraft CS and cut out with a Memory Box Primo Label die. I have then added this with 3D foam. Doodlebug Bubble Blue brads added to finish.

STAMPS: Lili Of The Vally, Ladybug Crafts Ink. INK/COPICS: Memento Tuxedo Black/N1, N2, N3, N4, N5 for the bear & BBQ. G40, G82 for the grass. B93, B95, R37 for the apron. E55, E57 for the sausages. B91 & blender for the shadow. CS: Craftwork Cards, Bazzill Basics, Stampin' Up! TOOLS: Memory Box Primo Labels. EMBELLISHMENTS: Doodlebug Brads.

Haul Video!

Hi all, when I was off sick (I go back to work tomorrow after five weeks off sick) all I could do for most of the time was lay flat on my back so I started watching videos on You Tube on my phone. I came accross haul videos and became obsessed with them! So after receiving some new goodies from the lovely Tracy at Dies to Die for I thought I would make one! Please let me know what you think, I liked watching them as a) gives an idea on the different products about and b) I'm nosey! lol Oh and I did buy quite a few paper pads here but I have been ill so I was trying to make myself feel better ... well that's my excuse anyway!

Thanks for visiting, I'll be back tomorrow with a new card!

Sweet Friend

Woohoo! I have made a card, although it took less than 10 minutes to make, I enjoyed making it. I have of course made it for the current challenge over at Less Is More which is Feeling Fruity. My card is pretty simple, I have cut out white card using a die from the MFT Die-Namics Well Worn Greetings Stamp & Die Set and added this to a white card blank. I have then added a strip made with the MFT Die-Namics Solid Bracket Border Die using DB Ladybug CS and adhered slightly over the top of the panel. The Elzybells watermelons have been stamped, coloured with Copic Markers and cut out; one added with 3d foam. The sentiment, also an Elzybells stamp, added below.

STAMPS: Elzybells Art Stamps. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. CS: Craftwork Cards, Doodlebug Designs. TOOLS: My Favourite Things Die-Namics, Copic Markers: R35, G07, E47.
