Birthday Monkey

I came accross this image by Dustin Pike and thought it was great for those difficult to make male cards. I have kept the image quite large and coloured with Copics as usual.

SUPPLIES:

Have a great day and try and stay warm! It is freezing here in Surrey at the moment!

Little Boy Star - DTDF

Here is a quick card made using the fab Echo Park Little Boy collection, these papers are so bright - great for boy cards. I have simply layered the papers following a Viva La Verve Sketch. I have cut a Nestabilities star (currently not in the shop but if you ask Tracy nicely she will order it for you!) from one of the papers and added with 3d foam. The button and linen thread are by Stampin' Up! I have then stamped the greeting from the Ladybug Crafts Ink It's Only Words 1 set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

STAMPS: Ladybug Crafts Ink. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. CS: Craftwork Cards, Echo Park. TOOLS: Nestabilities. EMBELLISHMENTS: Stampin' Up! Designer Button, Stampin' Up! Linen Thread.

Dies To Die for are giving away candy everyday this week over on the Blog to celebrate Tracy's Birthday, head over there to get a chance to win some fab candy.

Top Chef

It was my brother's birthday yesterday and after racking my brains for weeks on what I should do for his card I finally came up with this. He has been known to throw a BBQ or two so I thought this image would be quite good for him. I have stamped LOTV Top Chef out and coloured him with Copic Markers, cut him out, matted him with Kraft CS and added to base with DST. The base is layers of paper from the SU! Celebrations Collection (available from the lovely Jules) layered up with Bazzill Kraft CS. These have then been added to a white square card blank with 3D foam. I have then stamped the sentiment out from the Ladybug Crafts Ink It's Only Words 1 set on to more Kraft CS and cut out with a Memory Box Primo Label die. I have then added this with 3D foam. Doodlebug Bubble Blue brads added to finish.

STAMPS: Lili Of The Vally, Ladybug Crafts Ink. INK/COPICS: Memento Tuxedo Black/N1, N2, N3, N4, N5 for the bear & BBQ. G40, G82 for the grass. B93, B95, R37 for the apron. E55, E57 for the sausages. B91 & blender for the shadow. CS: Craftwork Cards, Bazzill Basics, Stampin' Up! TOOLS: Memory Box Primo Labels. EMBELLISHMENTS: Doodlebug Brads.

Thanks for visiting today!

Party Fergus

This is a really quick card for a boy. I have used one of the new Wild Rose Studio stamps, now available at Dies to Die for; stamped him out and coloured with Copics. I have cut him out with a Nestabilities rectangle and layered with DB Limeade CS then added to base with 3d foam pads. The sentiment, from the Ladybug Crafts Ink It's Only Words 2 set, has been stamped and also mounted the same. Took less than five minutes to assemble, obviously a bit more for the colouring though!

STAMPS: Wild Rose Studio, Ladybug Crafts Ink. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. CS: Craftwork Cards, Doodlebug Designs. TOOLS: Nestabilities, Copic Markers - Dragon: YG23, YG25, YR30, YR31; hat: B000, B00; cake: E31, E41. shadow: W00, W3, W5.

Thanks for visiting, I am starting my night shifts tonight so I best be off to bed! Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Sarah!

As you can probably tell from the title of the post this card was made for my friend Sarah. I have used LOTV's Thomas with Champagne stamp which I thought looked a little like her beloved cat Bozzy! I have stamped him out and coloured with Copics adding glitter to the champagne using a Spica pen. I have then cut the image out using a Nestabilities circle and added to the base with 3d foam. The base is a sheet of Memory Box Dots Bluebird paper layered with Doodlebug Bubble Blue CS. I have also added a strip of this down the middle and added teeny tiny SU! pearls coloured with a Copic marker. I have punched out MS Monarch Butterflies using Memory Box Gingham Bluebird paper and added Doodlebug jewels in the centres. Sentiment from the Ladybug Crafts Ink Its Only Words 2 set stamped and cut out using a Nestabilities Label die.

STAMPS: Lili Of The Valley, Ladybug Crafts Ink. CS: Craftwork Cards, Doodlebug Designs, Memory Box. TOOLS: Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch, Copic Spica At You glitter pen, Copic Markers - cat: N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N7, R20; mouse: E53, E55, R20; cork: E42, E43; present: B41, B45; shadow: W00, W1. EMBELLISHMENTS: Doodlebug Designs Mini Jewels, Stampin' Up! pearls.

Thank you for visiting today, hope you have a lovely day!

Cakey Watt - LIM

Here is a card using another of the Stamping Bella stamps new to DTDF. I am loving using these cuties at the moment! This time I have used Cakey Watt, coloured him with Copic Markers and then cut him out with a Nestabilities sqaure die and mounted with Bazzill Splash CS. Added to a white card blank and greeting from the Ladybug Crafts Ink It's Only Words 2 set stamped underneath. DTDF have 10% off all orders to celebrate the Bank Holiday!

STAMPS: Stamping Bella, Ladybug Crafts Ink. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black. CS: Craftwork Cards, Bazzill Basics. TOOLS: Nestabilities, Copic Markers: N1, N2, N3, N4, E41, B91, Y11, W00, W1.

I made this card with the current Less Is More challenge in mind. Sadly I have not been able to participate in this great challenge the last few weeks. I am not sure if it qualifies though as the greeting may be out of the square but composition wise for my card, I am happy with it! If it does not comply Mandi & Chrissie please feel free to delete it :0)
