Life is a Masterpiece

Woohoo today is release day over at Elzybells. For my sample today I am using the very cute Artist clear set. I have stamped the girl and the accessories out seperately, coloured with Copics and cut out. Added to base with 3d foam. The base is simple layers of white and blue CS added to a white card blank. Message stamped and added to base. Pearls added to finish.

Elzybells Challenge 26

Hello there, not only is today release day for the new Elzybells stamps it is also challenge day too! This fortnight the challenge is to make patterned paper from stamps - I think I got a bit confused on this one but hopefully this card qualifies! sorry! I have stamped the very cute girl from the Rubbadubdub set, coloured with Copics and cut out using a Nestabilities Label One die; greeting stamped in the corner and added to base with 3d foamp pads. I have added a piece of Bashful Blue CS on to a white card blank. I have then gone over the CS with the Bubles Border stamp and wrapped around with white ribbon. Handmade is from the Heart

For todays Elzybells Sneak Peek I am showing you a few different stamps. I have made a very cute box using one of Lauren Meader's My Timeless Templates, I thought it would be nice to give to a crafting friend. I have filled mine with flowers but you could fill it with all sorts! I have kept mine quite simple but you could make them a lot more decorative.

I have also made a little card to match!

Crafts Are Here, Crafts Are There

Happy second Elzybells sneak peek day to you! Today I am showing you another card made from the Stamp & Scrap Sentiments Set but using one of the sentiments as the focal point of my card this time. This is a great little poem! I have stamped it then cut it out with a Nestabilities Curved Rectangle Die and added to base with 3d foam. The base is simply two shades of lilac DB CS added to a white card blank. Button added with Scrapper Floss and 2 ribbon tabs added. Gem stones added to finish.

The back of my card uses two stamps from the Queen Of Stamping Clear set.

Elzybells August Release - Real Friend In You!

Firstly I would like to apologise for lack of blogging recently, I am ok, thank you for your wishes - you know who you are :0) So today starts the sneak peeks for the new August release of Elzybells stamps and you are going to love them! They are all about us lot - crafters and they will be released on Thursday 27th August. My card today uses two sets - Stamp & Scrap Clear Set and Stamp & Scrap Sentiments. I have stamped the oh so cute stamper girl and coloured her with Copics, cutting out using a Nestabilities Label 3 die, added to base with 3d foam pads. The base is simply a sheet of Core'dinations CS added to a white card blank with a layer of Doodlebug DP on top. Message stamped in the corner and gem stones added to finish.

Here is the back of the card that uses the Queen of Stamping clear set and the individual Handmade Girl stamps. I think it finishes off your cards nicely :0)

Chipboard Anyone?

Elzybells Challenge 25 - Plaid

This month's challenege over at Elzybells has been set by retired DT member Paula and is 'Mad About Plaid'. I have used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems no 127 for this card. I have added a strip of plaid paper by Piggy Tales - The Frog Prince Collection on to a white square card blank - now I know this looks like grid paper but b'cos the paper is 12x12 and I have cut it down so much you don't really get the plaid pattern BUT it was to start with ... I promise!! I have then stamped the cake onto white CS and coloured with Copics, mounted to the reverse of the plaid paper and added to the base. A strip of the paper added on top. Message stamped at the bottom. Both stamps are from the fabulous Mini Messages - A Little Hello set. Please see the blog for all the DT creations in one place and details of how to enter.

Good Luck Teddy

This card has been made for one of my mum's work colleagues who is leaving to go to a different department within the same company. I have stamped the Whipper Snapper Li'l Standing Teddy out on to white CS and coloured with Copics {please see below for how I coloured him in} I then stamped the greeting below from the Woodware Mixed Greeting set, mounted to green CS and added to a white square card blank with DST. Ribbon wrapped around {from Dies to Die for} and secured with a button and linen thread. Prima flowers which have been coloured with a Copic marker added with BG pearls. I hope she likes it!

I thought I would show you the way I colour with my Copics:

I first used the darkest of my colours - E57 to where I wanted the darkest shades

I then went over and out a bit with the next darkest shade - E55


I then went over the whole thing with my lightest shade - E53

I then tend to blend in more with the two lightest shades - you can see this on the teddy's arm and legs

I then coloured the scarf and the ground using G40 & G82 - again using the darker shade first

Apologies for the rubbish photos but I hope some of you may have found it helpful!
