Hi there, today I have a card to show you using products from Die to Die for. This card is made for DTDF boss Tracy for her birthday last week. Love using this butterfly die with sparkly vellum (which is from Paperchase).

When In Doubt ... CASE!

A few months ago I was lost for inspiration for a card for my Grandma's birthday, I wanted something pretty but just wasn't sure, then I remembered seeing this amazing card by Stephanie Wincott and of course had to CASE it. I changed it around a little but as you can see kept it pretty close to the original.

DTDF Challenge - Spots &/or Stripes

So after a little DT break due to personal comitments I am back designing for Dies to Die for. What better way to return than to join in with this month's Die-Ing For A Challenge which is to create a card using spots and/or stripes. As you can see I have gone with spots for my card. I made this card for my niece who was four last weekend.

Congraulations

Hi guys, thank you so much for all the lovley comments and emals that you left for me on my last post. I was overwelmed with all the kindness, thank you! I still have two weeks left at my current job so my posts until then may be a bit sporadic but once I leave I hope to get back to my card making properly.

 

Here is a quick congratulations card I have made for myself (hehe). With all the stress of getting a new job etc I forgot to actually celebrate that I got it. Maybe it will sink in a bit when I have left my current job. Anyway, I have used the PTI Heart-2-Heart #5 stamp set and built myself a banner using PTI Hawaiian Shores and Aqua Mist ink and using teeny rhinestones for the cord itself. The sentiment is from a MFT A La Modes set.

New Job

Hi all, I don't share too much personal stuff on my blog since that's not what you are here for right? but since some of you have been with me since way back when I started blogging and went on the journey with me of qualifying as a staff nurse and getting my first nursing job; that I thought I would share my new news with you. I have got myself a new job! yay me!

 

I have been in my current job, my first nursing job since qualifying in 2008 for four years now. I went for a couple of interviews last month and was fortunate enough to be offered both of them. I have picked one and I will be starting there on the 19th November. I will be a rotational nurse doing surgical, theatre/recovery, cardiothoracics and intensive care nursing, at one of my local hospitals, with each speciality lasting six months. I think it will be a great move for both my career and my health so I am really happy. I gave my four week notice in to my current job yesterday, quite a strange feeling I have to say!

 

Anyway, thought you may have wanted to hear my news, sorry if you didn't!! I may just have to go and make myself a congratulations card now .... hehe! :0)
