Hello, Petunia

Hello there, here is a fact you may not know about me (but probably figured out by now anyway!) ... I LOVE pigs! They are my favourite animal by far and since I was a little girl, I have wished I could have one as a pet (maybe one day!). As soon as I saw this stamp from Stamping Bella, I knew I would be purchasing it!

Isn't he (or she) so adorable? I started off by stamping the image, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to a panel of white cardstock. The sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages set, was stamped to the side.

I coloured the image with Copic markers and then simply added the panel on to an A2 white card base. I wanted to keep the card simple to really show off the image.

Birthday Owl

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the super cute and pretty owl from the Mama Elephant Charmed Stamp Set. I thought the grey/browns of the owl would work with some purple tones.

I started off by stamping the owl, banner and sentiment from the Charmed set and coloured with Copic Markers, adding a little Glossy Accents to the owl's beak and WOS to the tummy and also on the banner. These were then cut out using the matching dies. I then cut an MFT Pierced Circle die from both white and vellum cardstocks.

I took some PTI Winter Wisteria cardstock and stamped the MFT Linen Background on to it using Versamark ink. I then ran the card base through my Cuttlebug to emboss the ME Femme Frames rectangle die. The circles were added on to the card base with tape runner and then the banner and owl adhered with foam tape. I finished off by adding a few sequins.

VIDEO | Card Making Haul - June 2015

Hello there, today I have a card making haul to share with you. All of the stamp companies came out with amazing releases this month ... Clearly Besotted (thank goodness I am on the DT!), Create A Smile (thankfully I also get a selection through my DT work!), WPlus9, Lawn Fawn, MFT, Avery Elle - wow! what a busy month on our bank balances! ;)

As much as I would have liked to buy everything, obviously I couldn't. So I went with sets that I thought I would use the most, not just ones that I liked because they were cute. The sets I got I think are very versatile to use for lots of different occasions - I love those kinds of sets. So without further delay, here is the video showing what I got:

Thanks A Million

Hello there, as soon as I saw the new butterfly dies from MFT I knew I had to grab them! I seem to have an obsession with butterflies but I find them perfect for lots of different occasions. For my card today, I have combined the Flutter of Butterflies sold and lace dies.

I first started off by embossing the MFT Grid Stencil on to some white cardstock. This was then added to a white (slightly smaller than) A2 card base. The Flutter of Butterflies butterfly was cut with more white cardstock, as well as the body. I took TH Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Broken China and blended these on to the solid butterfly.

I also sprayed this with Glimmer Mist in Pearl. Once dried, I popped the lace one on top and added this to my card. The sentiment, from the MFT (oldie but goodie) Essential Sentiments set, was stamped with Versamark ink to some black cardstock and heat set with white embossing powder. This was cut out and added with foam tape. I finished off by adding a few PPP Sparkling Clear sequins.
