Spellbinders | August 2026 Club Kits

Hello there, today I have two cards to share using August Club Kits from Spellbinders. I am using the Small Die of the Month called Boo Crew Lab, as well as the All Clubs Crate Exclusive called Scaredy Cat + the Embossing Folder of the Month called Happy Jacks.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

As you can see, the theme of the kits this month is Halloween! Whilst it is not something I generally celebrate, I do enjoy making Halloween cards; mainly because I get to use my favourite crafting colour - purple!

My first card uses the Spellbinders August 2026 Small Die of the Month Club Kit. The kit features a potion/lab bottle, a ghost, bats, books and candles. I started off by die cutting the dies - I used Spellbinders Raven ColorWheel Cardstock for the book (as well as Alabaster for the pages), bats and the bottom layer of the candles. I used Classic White, Beeswax and Saffron for the top layer of the candles.

The pieces were assembled and adhered together using Bearly Art Glue. I took a panel of Spellbinders Lilac ColorWheel Cardstock and added ink blending to the top portion using Altenew Enchanted Garden Fresh Dye Inks (Ultraviolet & Andromeda), plus a little Jet Black. I then splattered on Hero Arts Black Acrylic Speckle Ink and set the panel aside to dry.

Once dry, it was adhered to an A2 sized card base. I then hot foiled the sentiment from the Spellbinders Halloween Icons Press Plate & Die Set onto Lilac cardstock using Spellbinders Opaque Black Glimmer Hot Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. It was die cut out and adhered to the card, followed by the book, candles and bats. To finish, I embellished with Spellbinders Onyx Color Essentials Gems

My second card uses the Spellbinders August 2026 All Clubs Crate Exclusive. This is a free gift when you subscribe to the All Clubs Crate (all of the club subscriptions), it cannot be purchased separately. I die cut the cat from Spellbinders ColorWheel Cardstock - Raven for the body, tail and head, Chiffon for the ears and nose, Classic White for the teeth, and I added Peridot (behind the head) for the eyes.

I die cut the pumpkin from Carrot, Rainforest, Raven and Wild Berry. The collar was cut from Carrot also. I adhered the elements to the cat's head first, followed by the pumpkin. I then set everything aside while I worked on the background. I took a panel of Spellbinders Lilac ColorWheel Cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine inside the Spellbinders August 2026 Embossing Folder of the Month

I then added ink blending at the bottom using the same inks as I did on the first card. It was adhered to a Lilac US A2 sized card base. I adhered the tail on first, flat with liquid glue. I then adhered the body, followed by the head and then the pumpkin - all using black foam squares. I die cut the sentiment from Spellbinders Carrot ColorWheel Cardstock twice and adhered the letters (one on top of another) onto the cat's tail. To finish, I embellished with Spellbinders Onyx Color Essentials Gems.

Altenew | One-Go: Briar Blossoms

Hello there, it's release day over at Altenew and today, I have a card to share using a few new products. The main one is the beautiful One-Go: Briar Blossoms. As the name suggests, this is a one-go product. So you stamp all the images in one go, stencil them all in one go and die cut them all in one go!

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I started off my card by stamping the image from Altenew One-Go: Briar Blossoms onto white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I then used the stencils to colour the images using ink blending. I used Altenew Enchanted Garden Fresh Dye Inks for the petals, and Altenew Green Valley and Sweet Dreams (Aqualicious) Fresh Dye Inks for the leaves and stems. They were then die cut out using the coordinating die.

I die cut multiple rectangles from the new Altenew Nesting A2 Panels Die Set from Altenew Crafty Necessities: Jet Black Cardstock. They were adhered to a black A2 sized card base using Altenew Black Instant Dimension Foam Tape, cutting off the excess from the sides using scissors. The leaves were then adhered on top using liquid glue.

The flowers were adhered on top using more foam tape. I stamped a sentiment from Altenew Build-A-Garden: Softly Sketched Blooms onto more Altenew Crafty Necessities: Jet Black Cardstock using Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Altenew Mystic Black Stellar Sequins
