Clearly Besotted Teasers | You Are Fa-boo-lous!

Hello there and welcome to day four of the Clearly Besotted September 2019 Teasers. The new sets release tomorrow at 8pm BST and today I have one last teaser to share with you. Today I am using the Halloween Plushies again but this time, combining it with the Picture It Halloween set.

I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and masking off the edges with masking tape to create a rectangle at the top. I then stamped the Clearly Besotted Picture It Halloween Stamp Set inside it (the image is much larger than this but I just wanted a portion of it). I removed the masks and then coloured in the image, keeping the rectangle shape. As you can see, the outside lines aren't perfectly straight but I am ok with that.

I first coloured the house, moon and the ground, followed by the sky, adding in white gel pen stars. The colours that I used are listed below the supplies area. I took the sentiment from the same set and stamped this below the image with black ink. The panel was then adhered to an A2 white card base with foam tape.

I took the witch image from the Clearly Besotted Halloween Plushies Stamp Set and stamped this on to a separate piece of cardstock. I coloured her using Copic Markers and then fussy cut her out, leaving a small white boarder. She was then added to the card with more foam tape.

Clearly Besotted Teasers | Fang-tastic Day!

Hello there and welcome to day three of the Clearly Besotted September 2019 Teasers. Not long to wait now, the new products release on the 1st September. Today I have a tag to share with you that uses three new products - Halloween Plushies, Happy Everything and the Fright Night Stencil.

To start my tag, I stamped the spider, as well as Dracula from the Clearly Besotted Halloween Plushies Stamp Set. I stamped them on to white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured them with Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and then fussy cut out with scissors. Once they were fussy cut, I went around the edge of the cardstock with a Memento Tuxedo Marker, to neaten up the edges and then set them aside.

I cut a Clearly Besotted Tag Along tag die from white cardstock and placed the web image from the Clearly Besotted Fright Night Stencil on top. I then blended Distress Inks through it, I used Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon and Wilted Violet. I then removed the stencil and blended a little more Carved Pumpkin on top, so that the white of the web was not so stark. I cut another tag from black cardstock but this time cut a further circle from it using a Hero Arts Nesting Circles Infinity Die, to create a window.

I took the spider image and stamped this again on to the white web tag (this is so that you can see the string part of the image). I then adhered the black tag on top of the white one and adhered the spider on top using liquid glue. I took the sentiment from the new Clearly Besotted Happy Everything Stamp Set (this set is full of sentiments for all year round) and stamped it on to orange cardstock with black ink. This was added to the tag with foam tape and then Dracula added on top with foam tape also. To finish off, I added a few white highlights to the images with a white gel pen (and black glaze to the spider's eyes) and then added twine through the top of the tag.

Clearly Besotted Teasers | Best In the World

Hello there and welcome to day two of the Clearly Besotted September 2019 Teasers. Today I have a fun card to share with you using the new Pop Up Monsters stamp set. The monsters just have a head and arms so can be used to pop up behind objects, or as in my case, sit in the spaceship.

I started off my card by stamping the spaceship image from the Clearly Besotted Pop Up Monsters Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then masked the bottom portion of the window and stamped one of the monsters from the set inside. Because of the masking, you do not see the monsters hands sadly but hopefully it still works ok. I then stamped the stars from the set a few times as well.

The images were coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and fussy cut out with scissors. I did add some highlights to the spaceship with a white gel pen. These were then set aside while I worked on the background.

I took a panel of watercolour paper and blended Distress Inks on to it. I first added small areas of Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold. I then filled in all other areas (as well as a light layer on top of the colours) using Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch. Finally I added a layer of Black Soot to darken the areas even more. I then splattered on some water, as well as Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain and set the piece aside to dry.

Once dry, I added the panel on to an A2 white card base with tape runner. I then added the stars on top with liquid glue. I took the sentiments from the Clearly Besotted Happy Birthday All Stamp Set and stamped them on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white detail embossing powder and heat set. They were cut in to strips and added to the card with foam tape. I then added the monster in his spaceship on top with a mini action wobble so that he bounces around.

There are lots of different monsters in this set, it was difficult to choose which one to use as they are all so cute! For more inspiration using the new release, please head over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, Keren , Lisa and our guest Joy. Thank you so much for visiting me today, I hope you have a great day!

Clearly Besotted Teasers | Hippo Halloween!

Hello there and welcome to the start of the Clearly Besotted September 2019 Teasers. The new sets release on the 1st September and from now until then, we are sharing teasers using the new sets. For my first card, I am kicking things off with the adorable Hippo Halloween set. You guessed it, the hippos are back and this time they are ready for Halloween!

I started off my card by stamping the hippo on the broomstick from the Clearly Besotted Hippo Halloween Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then coloured her with Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and fussy cut her out with scissors. I then set her aside to work on my background.

I first took a Hero Arts Nesting Circles Infinity Die and cut this from mask paper. I placed this in the top centre of a 5.25" x 4" panel of white cardstock. Using bending brushes, I then blended Distress Inks on to the panel to create a night sky. I used Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord and Black Soot. I also added a layer of Hero Arts Sea Salt Reactive Ink around the mask to create a slight halo effect. The piece was then sprayed with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain, as well as Sheer Sparkle Spritz. The mask was removed and the panel set aside to dry.

Once dry, I coloured the moon using warm grey Copic Markers and adhered the panel on to an A2 white card base with foam tape. I then added the hippo on top with more foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Full Of Sentiment Stamp Set and stamped this on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied white detail embossing powder and heat set. It was then cut into two small strips and added to the card with foam tape again. To finish off, I added black glaze pen to the hippo's eyes.

Enjoy Your Day

Hello there, I am somewhat back to being in my craft room after my time off (thank you so much to everyone that has sent me well wishes, I really do appreciate it) and looking forward to sharing the Clearly Besotted September teasers with you. Before that, I have one last card to share from the August release that I shared in my release video, but never managed to do the blog post for (sorry!).

For my card, I started off by stamping one of the penguins from the Clearly Besotted All Four Seasons Stamp Set on to a panel of white cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then stamped the sand castle from the same set beside her. I made a mask for her from mask paper and then stamped the summer image from the Clearly Besotted Scene It Seasons Stamp Set on top.

The mask was removed and then I die cut the panel using a Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Die. The images were coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area). I took an A2 white card base and embossed the next largest die from the circle die set on to the front. The image panel was added on top with tape runner.

I took the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Full Of Sentiment Stamp Set and stamped this on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set. This was then cut in to a strip and added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Ice Cube Jewels around the sentiment.

Taking a Little Break

Hello there, I just wanted to pop in to let you know that I will be taking a little break from my blog for the next couple of weeks.

As many of you will know, I have been suffering with chronic migraine for some time now. It has been getting progressively worse over the last six months and it has now got to the point where I am having migraines almost 24 days out of the month. As you can guess, this is no fun at all! I have tried various different treatments for migraine but as of yesterday (as long as everything went well, I am writing this in advance!), I have started a course of Botox.

My doctors think that at this moment in time, this is the best treatment for me, so fingers crossed that it helps. They have warned me that things can get worse before they start to get better, hence taking a couple of weeks off, but hopefully the side effects won't be too bad.

I do have a couple of posts scheduled, but otherwise, I will be back later in the month. Thank you so much for your continued support. Wishing you all a wonderful couple of weeks! :)

So Happy For You

Hello there, I am over on the Hero Arts blog today, sharing a card using the new As You Wish stamp set and coordinating dies. This set has a princess/Cinderella theme to it but I thought the man and woman inside a heart would work well for an engagement card.

Hero Arts August 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, today we are celebrating the release of the Hero Arts August 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit. The kit has a fun medieval and magical theme to it. For the hop, you should have arrived here from Mariana but if you get lost along the way, I have the full list of participants below.

To start of with, I made a tag that I shared over on the Hero Arts Blog. I really love the magical elements in the kit and love the font on the sentiments especially. I started off by die cutting a Nesting Tag Infinity Die from watercolour paper and then creating a night sky/galaxy background at the top using various colours of Reactive Inks plus, navy and black to go on top.

I also added on some splatters of white, as well as the Iridescent White Shimmer Spray. I cut two further tags from white cardstock and partially cut these using the Nesting Cloudy Infinity Dies. These were added on to the background tag and then I stamped, coloured and die cut the unicorn from the main kit stamp set and added him on top. For more details on how I made the tag, please see the blog post here.

For my card today, I wanted to use the fantastic Fancy Castle Die from the main kit and combine it with the Dragons & Unicorns set which is an add-on this month. I started off by taking an A2 top folding card base and blending ink on to the top portion with blending brushes. I used Blue Hawaii and Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks. I then spritzed on a mist of White Iridescent Shimmer Spray (yes,I am obsessed with this again at the moment!) and set it aside to dry.

I took the Fancy Castle Die from the main kit and cut this from a panel of white cardstock. The die just cuts the top line, so you can have it at any height that you want. This was added to the card base with tape runner. I took the unicorn and shooting star images from the Unicorns & Dragons set and stamped these on to white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. They were coloured using Copic Markers and die cut out using the Unicorns & Dragons Frame Cuts.

I added the shooting star and unicorn to the card with foam tape and then stamped my sentiment. I wanted to use this card as generic happy birthday card so I took the sentiments from the Mix & Match Compliments set and stamped these on to Pitch Black Cardstock with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink. I applied White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. They were cut in to strips and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added dots of Spica glitter pen to the images.

VIDEO | Card Making Haul - July 2019

Hello there, today I have a haul to share with you. It is quite a random haul really, not many stamps or dies but more tools.

I also purchased some watercolour paper (which I tried out here) as well as some glossy cardstock. A big investment for me this month was the Taylored Expressions blender brushes. I say they were an investment because they aren't exactly cheap here in the UK but I am hoping that they will be worth the money! Here is a look at everything I got:
