Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I have made this card for the Cute Card Thursday challenge.
"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. As we had male cards last week, this week we would like you to make a card with a female theme"

I have simply added a strip of dark pink CS down the side of a card blank and added Partgirlabella coloured with watercolour pencils on top. A BIG thank you goes to Tara for the image (I have since bought her as she is so lovely!). I have added a Craftwork Cards Mini Message with 3D foam pads and 2 Prima Flowers with gem stones.

STAMPS: Stamping Bella. CS: Craft Creations, Doodlebug. ACCESSORIES: Craftwork Cards Mini Message, Prima Flowers, Papermania Adhesive Gems.

Birthday Elephant

I have had the weekend off so I have been able to make some cards :0) Sadly I can't show them all at the moment but I thought I'd show you this quick one I made for my uncle. I have stamped my new Birthday Elephant stamp with Stazon and coloured him in with Coloursoft pencils and Sansodor. I have then cut him out and mounted to blue CS. I have simply added him to the card base with 3D foam pads. I have added a strip of blue CS across the bottom of the card and added a Pebbles Inc rub-on greeting.

STAMPS: Whipper Snapper. INK: Stazon Jet Black. CS: Anita's, Doodlebug. ACCESSORIES: Pebbles Inc Rub-on.

Little Missy

This image folder/wallet card has been sent to a friend. She will probably see this before she gets it but I actually forgot to add in a note that it was from me anyway, I wonder if she would have guessed?! I have used my new stamp from High Hopes which I bought from Tracy at Dies to Die for. I have stamped her out and coloured her with Coloursoft pencils and Sansodor. She has been cut out with corners rounded and mounted to pink CS, this has then been added to base with DST. 2 Maya Road velvet flowers have been added with brads. I have then punched a whole in the side of the folder and secured with ribbon.

STAMPS: High Hopes. INK: Stazon Jet Black. CS: Doodlebug Designs. ACCESSORIES: Maya Road velvet flowers, Papermania brads, ribbon by Ribbon Oasis, corner rounder punch.

I Have Been Tagged!

I have been tagged by Natalie, so here goes ...

1. If a movie was being made of your life who would you like to be cast to play yourself? and why?

Drew Barrymore - I look NOTHING like her at all but I think she is a great actress and has a lovely smile!

2. You are spending a whole month on a desert island for charity and you have to choose your favourite celebrity to spend the first two weeks with & your least favourite celebrity to spend the second two weeks with, who would they be & why?

The first two weeks would be spent with Jamie Cullum cos he is gorgeous and he could sing to me. The second two weeks would be with Jodie Marsh. She annoys me cos she is very beautiful without all that heavy make up on but thinks she looks better with it on!

3. What are your three favourite crafting products?

Stamps, Prima Flowers and ribbon

4. If you could invent something to do anything what do you think it would be?

Something to clean the house for me!

5. What are the last three books that you read?

I haven't read that much recently, well unless you can count Closer magazine but the last one was Danny Wallace 'Yes Man' and I am now reading Richard Hammond's autobiography

6. QVC or Create & Craft?

QVC but I don't watch it that much now either. I used to watch C&C but very rarely do now.

7. Docrafts or Dovecraft or DCWV?

I have papers by them all but probably DCWV

8. What is your claim to fame?

I met Helen Baxendale before she was famous and Dom of Dick & Dom. I also saw Billy Connolly in the car park of my local hospital when I broke my arm at 10 years old! I am not sure this is what you are looking for though!!!

I tag Viv & Pam.

Bye For Now ...

I don't generally write that much about my personal life on here but I just wanted to share a few bits with you. As most of you know I am at university traning to be a nurse. I am in my last year and due to qualify in September. Throughout my course I have time in university doing theory and time in hospital working in the wards. I took my last lot of theory last week (which felt very strange) and from now until late August I will be in placement. I am thankful that I have passed all my exams so far and just have a few left in June. I start placement on Monday in a stroke rehab ward and I am looking forward to something different. The prospect of qualifying in September scares the life out of me but hopefully I will be ok.

I just want to say a big thank you for your support and that I doubt I will be around that much for a while. I will of course be checking everyone's blogs as much as possible and be posting cards when I can. Keep up the good work you guys! :0)

A Beautiful Award and a Thank You

First of all I have received this lovely award from Vicki at Paperlicious Oasis. What a lovely award to receive and I am touched by it. Thank you Vicki. I have made so many friends whilst card making and blogging most of which through Do Crafts and really hope that that continues. I would like to pass this award on to all my friends, there is so many to mention but you know who you are :0)

I also just want to say a BIG thank you to every single one of my visitors. I have reached over 35,000 hits and I can't believe it!

Image Folders

I receievd some lovely images this week from Maria, Gina & Tara. Below are the image folders that Gina & Maria sent me, thank you ladies they are gorgeous and the images are great, can't wait to have a play. I haven't taken a photo of Tara's sorry but I love them too! Thank you all very much :0)

These are the folders I have made for Maria (top one) and Gina (bottom one). they have both been made exactly the same. I have coloured in the Maggie Sugar Nellie images that Sue sent me (thank you so much Sue) with watercolour pencils and mounted to CS. These have been added to the base with 3D foam pads. I have made the bases by running through Doodlebug CS through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder and adding to the left side of the folder. I have wrapped ribbon around (before adding the image panel on top) so that it can be tied at the side. I have then added a Prima Sprite to the bottom with a gem stone. Penny Black 'enjoy' stamped the the bottom right.

Thank you and an Award

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that has left me comments on my first DT cards. I was really quite nervous about them as it was my first ever cards made for something like this. I am really happy that people like them :0)

I have been given this lovely award by Maria from Maria's Cards - thank you so much, the award has actually cheered me up because I have unfortunately pulled a muscle in my shoulder and am in a lot of pain. I will forward it on in a few days when hopefully I am feeling a bit better. I hope that that is ok.

A 'BLING'ing Challenge

Sorry for lack of blogging recently. I have been busy though! First up is a card for Vicki's challenge over at Paperlicious Oasis. The challenge was to use bling on your card. I have stamped Tilda on to some linen card stock and coloured her in with watercolour pencils. She has been cut out and the corners rounded with a punch. I have gone round the edges with chalk. This has been added to the card with DST. I have made the base by printing off the backing paper from the Epson site (thank you so mcuh Kerry!) and rounding the corners before adding it to a square card. I have then stamped the sentiment out and popped it behind the image. I have swiped ink over a chipboard '3' and added some baby bling to it. I have also added 3 gem stones to the image panel.
