Birthday Giveaway

Hello there, first of all I must apologise I haven't been around the last week. Unfortunately I wasn't well, fortunately though, I am feeling a bit better today. Today is my Birthday and to celebrate I wanted to do a little giveaway ...

I have a £20 gift voucher for the Clearly Besotted Shop up for grabs. I am sure you are all aware how much I love Clearly Besotted and I am very fortunate to be on the Design Team. I wanted to share that love with you so that you may be able to purchase a few bits yourself. You could buy any number of the products in the shop already, or wait and get some of the new release (out June 5th).

All you have to do to enter is add your name to InLinkz. It would also be great if you could leave me a comment telling me what is at the top of your craft wish list. The giveaway is open internationally and will close Monday, 1st June 2015 at 12.00 BST. Good luck!

* I have had a few people mention that they are unable to participate in the giveaway because they do not have a blog. You do NOT need a blog to enter. I made sure when I constructed the giveaway on In Linkz, that it is not mandatory to add a URL in. You can, and it makes it easier for me to track you down if you are a winner but you do not need to. I know people have already entered that have not added URLs, so it must be working. If for some reason you cannot do it without, then please just add mine as your link. I want everyone to be able to enter! Many thanks! *

Hey, Foxy!

Hello there! For me, Mama Elephant always deliver amazing stamps (and dies). I especially love their cute critters. When I am feeling in the mood to colour, I usually grab them as they are a pleasure to colour. This Three Amigos set is no exception.

I first took a sheet of white cardstock and ran this through my Cuttlebug using the rectangle Femme Frames die (my most used die!). I then took the fox image from the set and stamped this with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to it. The image was coloured with Copic Markers.

When finished, I adhered the panel on to a white A2 card base with a piece of foam sheet. I then enhanced the eyes and nose of the fox using a Sakura black pen.

COPIC MARKERS - Fox (dark parts): E07, E08, E09, E18. Fox (light parts): E50, E01, E11, E13. Sign: C0, C2, C3, C5. Ground: W1, W3, W5, W7, W8. Sky: B0000, B000, B41, B91.

Isn't he just so cute? Despite being cute, I think this would make a great male card. My apologies for not being around the last few days. I will be back with a haul video soon, I promise! Thank you so much for visiting me today. Have a lovely day!

Magnolia Love

Hello there, I just couldn't resist using the Magnolia from the Ellen Huston Mondo Magnolia set again. It is just so beautiful! This time I used colour pencils to colour on to kraft cardstock.

I first took a piece of PTI Kraft cardstock and stamped the magnolia image on to it using Versamark ink. HA White embossing powder was applied and then heat set. I coloured the magnolia in using Derwent Coloursoft Pencils (I haven't used these for ages but I remember now why I love them!). I also added a little shading around the outside.

The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base using ATG. The sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental set, was stamped using black ink on to a strip of white cardstock. The left end was cut in to a ribbon end and then added to the card with foam tape. I finished off the card by adding three Doodlebug Cupcake Sprinkles around the sentiment piece.

COLOURSOFT PENCILS: Flower -  Bright Pink C200, Pink C190, Soft Pink C170, White C720. Shading: Pale Brown C530, Lichen Green C500.

Thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you are all doing well and have a lovely day. I hope to be back over the weekend with a haul video so I hope to see you then.

Create A Smile | Sending Sunshine Kit

Hello there, today I am taking part in the Create A Smile Sending Sunshine Kit Video Hop. If you haven't been following us on Facebook, the Sending Sunshine Kit is filled with yummy goodies (I show a close up look in my video).

I have two cards to share with you today, using products from the kit. If you are following along with the hop, you should have arrived here from the amazing Vicky. For my first card today, I am using the super cute lobster from the mini stamp set. I am a big Friends fan and early on in the series, Phoebe tells Ross that Rachel is his lobster. She explains that Lobsters mate for life and you can see them walking around their tanks holding claws! :) This was my inspiration for the card.

I first took the lobster image, stamped it in black and coloured with Copic markers. I then fussy cut him out. I did the same with the second lobster but to get her to face the opposite direction I did some mirror stamping (I show you how in the video). These were added to a panel of cardstock which was cut using a SSS Stitched Square die. The panel was adhered to a 4.25"x4.25" card base which has a sheet of paper on, also from the kit.

I finished off by adding some die cut hearts (cut with the SSS Mini Hearts dies using PTI Melon Berry cardstock) and some enamel stickers, also from the kit.

COPIC MARKERS: R20, R21, R30, R32, R35.

For my next card I wanted to make a more summery card, since the kit is all about sending sunshine. I first took a sheet of the paper from the kit (yellow woodgrain) and cut a circle from this, using a SSS Stitched Circle die. I then took strips of more papers in the kit and cut ribbon ends in them. I stamped the 'sending sunshine' sentiment on to the yellow one with black ink.

These strips were adhered to the circle and then the whole thing added to a white A2 card base. I then took the ice-cream chipboard piece from the kit and added this to the left side (with Multi-Matte Medium). I finished off by adding a few Enamel Stickers, also from the kit.

I have to say, I love this kit! It will be available to purchase from the Create A Smile Shop (they ship worldwide) from 7am (BST) tomorrow morning. That is 8am CET and 2am EST. For a chance to win the kit, please pop over to the Create A Smile Blog, where you will also find more details about the kit and also links to everyone participating in the hop. Your next stop in the hop is the super talented Sandy Allnock. Thank you so much for visiting me today, I hope you have fun on the hop! :)
