VIDEO | Christy's Celebration Video Hop

Hello there, today I have the pleasure of taking part in Christy's Celebration Video Hop. She recently surpassed 10k subscribers on You Tube and kindly asked lots of designers and myself, to take part in a video hop. There are of course, lots of prizes to be won and I will share more on that later.

For my card, I started off with a panel of white cardstock cut using the largest of the WPlus9 Gift Card layers dies. I then took the Create a Smile Waves of Stars stencil and placed this over the top. I then took some Texture Paste and mixed this with glitter. This was applied over the stencil.

I took the Sugar Pea Designs Celebrate die and cut this three times from white cardstock. I applied Distress Inks in rainbow colours on to one of the die cuts and then spritzed with a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water. The die cuts were then layered up. I took the sentiment from the Sugar Pea Designs Celebrate All The Things stamp set and stamped this on to black cardstock with Versamark ink. I then applied white embossing powder and heat set. This was cut out in to a banner.

I adhered the texture paste panel on to a white A2 card base with ATG and then added the embossed sentiment on top. The celebrate word was added on top with clear foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Sparkling Clear sequins.

CB Teasers | Hello Friend

Hello there and welcome to day two of the Clearly Besotted July teasers. Today I have a card to share using the super cute Best Friends stamp set. As the name suggests, it is filled with lots of friend images. I went with the fox and sheep for my card today, but the rest are equally adorable!

I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and cutting this using one of the SSS Stitched Square dies. I then stamped the fox and sheep image, masked this off and then stamped the fence repeatedly behind them. These were then masked off too and I took the cloud image from the new Trouble in a Tutu stamp set, and stamped this above to make a little scene.

The masks were removed and then I coloured the image panel using Copic Markers. I took two sentiments from the many Mini Messages set and combined these to make the 'hello friend' sentiment. This was stamped on white cardstock, cut out and added to the panel with foam tape. The image panel was then added to a white 5x5" card base. To finish off, I added a few enamel dots around the sentiment piece.

Clear & Sheer

Hello there, I recently took the Online Card Classes Clear & Sheer card class. I am now finally getting around to doing some homework for it (naughty student!). Today's card is of the sheer variety, using vellum. This card was inspired by the amazing Debby Hughes.

I started off by die cutting the Create A Smile Thanks Twice Die using watercolour cardstock (I wasn't sure at the time whether I was going to watercolour it or not). I then blended on Peacock Feather Distress Ink, making it darker at the bottom. I then die cut a pierce circle from white cardstock and some vellum leaves.

I took a piece of paper from the new MFT Watercolor Wash paper pad and cut this using the ME Femme Frame rectangle die. This was adhered to a white A2 card base. I then added the circle piece on top and cut off the excess to the side. The vellum leaves were added on top, followed by the thanks piece (adhered with clear foam tape). To finish off I added some sequins.

I definitely chanelled my inner Debby Hughes on this card! I love her soft layered look, while still keeping the card clean and simple. I seem to be having trouble with my photographs at the moment. They all appear to have a blueish or pinkish tinge to them, no matter what I do. So I do apologise for that, I am trying to work out how to solve it. Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great week.
