Aviary Special Friend

Hi all, remember me? Sorry I haven't been about lately. With my new job I am working five days a week whereas for the last (almost) seven years I have been working three-four days a week but longer hours. Not having the days off is really tiring me out and I seem to have no time to do anything. Anyway, enough of the moaning, on my day off last week I manged to make four cards in a day and I will be sharing them all with you soon.

Here is the first one, I made this card for my lovely friend Julia to say thank you for some crafting goodies she sent me; including the stamps used on the card. The stamps are (now sadly retired) Elzybells so I cannot link these below.

SUPPLIES:
+ Elzybells Art Stamps - The Birds & The Bee's Collection - retired

Thanks so much for visiitng me today, it really means a lot. I will hopefully be back soon. Have  a lovely weekend

Easter Cards Part Two

Here are the other two cards I made for Easter. The first one was for my mum and I used the Lucky Bunnies stamp set by The Greeting Farm again. The image was coloured with Copics and cut out using a Nestabilities square die and added to the base with 3D adhesive squares. the base is more paper from the Doodlebug Hello Spring collection mounted to Doodlebug Fairy Dust CS and wrapped around with Making Memories Twill Ribbon (unable to link to supplies as no longer available) and then the greeting from the Lizzie Anne Designs Celebration Sayings (sorry no longer available) stamped and cut out using a Nestabilities Label Four die. Finished off with Pearls from the Doodlebug Hello Spring Pearl collection. The inside is decorated with the same papers and butterflies using the MS 3 in 1 Butterfly Punch.

Supplies:

The second card was for my nan. I used the PTI Flowers Fusion #11 stamp set and die. I stamped the flower stems on the panel using PTI Spring Moss ink and then the flower heads using PTI Summer Sunrise ink. For the middle one I have cut it out with the co-ordinating die and popped it up on 3D foam pads and added a pearl. The greeting is from a (no longer available) Elzybells Art Stamps set. I have layered this on to PTI Spring Moss CS, wrapped with Doodlebug Doodle Twine in Tangerine and added this to a card blank with 3D adhesive squares.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, I will back soon with some more cards. Have a good day!

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Here is a quick little project I thought I'd share with you using the Gift Card die from PTI. I have cut it from blue CS and simply stamped snowflakes from the PTI Winter Penguin set over it in VersaMark. For the inside I have simply stamped the Elzybells greeting on to white CS and cut out with the SU! Word Window punch. This gift card is for my dad so  have resisted adding any bling to it but you could really go to town with these and make them so pretty.

This weeks challenge over at Less Is More this week is Leaves as well as being one layer week. Eagle eyed viewers may have seen a quick snippet that I made for this challenge and posted but I have since found a better stamp to use and have re-made my card {the other card will be re-posted tomorrow but not for LIM!}.

So for my card I have kept it really simple and simply stamped some holy leaves by Elzybells with SU! Wild Wasabi ink on to a white card blank. I have then stamped the greeting from the PTI Signature Christmas set with black and then added DB Ladybug Jewels for the holly berries.

I have first made a card base using PTI Summer Sunrise CS and then added a panel of PTI Stampers Select white CS which has been run through my Cuttlebug using the PTI Guidelines Grid Embossing Plate; I have punched two holes at the bottom and wrapped around Doodlebug Tangerine Doodle Twine around and tied in a bow. The Elzybells sentiment has been stamped above. I have cut the two sunflowers and leaves from white CS using the PTI Simple Sunflowers Die Set and then stamped the sunflowers with Memento Dandelion & Tangelo inks for the petals and Rich Cocoa for the centres. The centres have also been glittered using my Spica clear pen. The leaves have then been stamped with New Sprout Ink. They have all been added to the card with 3D adhesive squares.

The Colour Of Your Eyes - LIM

The challenge this week over at Less Is More to make a card using the colour of your eyes. I have always loved my big brown eyes but for the purposes of this challenge I had wished they were blue or green! Using brown as my predominant colour was a challenge for me. First of all I have taken some SU! Crumb Cake CS and stamped the image from the SU! Just Believe set on to it with Memento Rich Cocoa and have gone over it with a Copic At You Spica pen in Chocolate {which gives a lovely shimmer}. This has been mounted to Bazzill dark brown CS then wrapped around with WRMK Pinecone Floss. The panel has been added to a white card blank with 3D adhesive squares. The Elzybells {retired} sentiment has been stamped in more Rich Cocoa ink and mounted again. Taupe rhinestones added to finish.

Happy 40th Anniversary

I have made this card for my Aunt & Uncle who celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary today. I have CASEd one of my own cards here but changed the colour. So first up I have printed the greeting from my PC using 'Fabulous 50s' font {I have 'borrowed' this from Diva LIM Mandi - thank you!}. I have then gone over the 40 with a clear Spica pen. I have added piercing either side of the greeting using my Tim Holtz ruler. For the hearts I have cut out two squares from Bazzill Kraft CS using a Nestabilities die and then stamped the hearts (Elzybells) on top using Memento Lady Bug ink. To finish I have attached Doodlebug buttons to the panels with white floss and added to the card with 3d foam.

I am entering this card into the current Less Is More challenge of Things That Move. Now I know I have used a bit of artistic licence here but as hearts beat they move. Hopefully Mandi & Chrissie agree!

Happy Birthday

This is another post that I already had on my blog drafts, hopefully I'll be feeling better enough to make a new card soon ...

This is a card I have made for one of my very good friend's. She loves pink so I thought this PTI Raspberry Fizz would work well for her. I got the inspiration from the layout from Maile Belles {thank you for the inspiration}. First I have cut a circle out of white CS using a Nestabilities die and run it through my Cuttlebug using the SU! Manhattan Flower embossing folder {available from the lovely Jules} and adhered it to a white card blank. I have then cut a strip of PTI Raspberry Fizz and stamped it with one of the blooms from the PTI Beautiful Blooms stamp set using Memento Rose Bud ink. I have cut out a banner using the PTI Dounble Ended Banner die and adhered it to the card cutting off one end. This has then been stamped with the Elzybells greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I have cut a butterfly from the PTI Love Lives Here die set out of felt and sprayed with Glimmer Mist {you can't really see it in the photo but there is a lovely shimmer to it in real life}. Bubblegum Doodlebug buttons have been added with floss and the bigger one has two tiny tags on it punched from the SU! Tiny Tag punch and the heart stamped from the PTI Sign Language set. Papermania Adhesive gems added to the heart tag and the inside of the butterfly to finish. WOW! That was a lot of products used for such a simple looking card!!

Thanks to mandi, I am entering this into  the current Less Is More challenge of adding buttons or ribbon to your card.
