You Passed!

Hello there, I am here today to share a card I made for my friend Sarah who recently passed her driving test. I kept it really simple by first taking some white cardstock and running this through my Cuttlebug using the ME Femme Frames set to make a panel. The car, from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes set, has been stamped and then coloured with Copic Markers.

 

The sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental set, has been stamped in the top right with black ink. The panel has been adhered to an A2 card base with foam tape and then I added a little Glossy Accents to the lights on the car.

Get Well

Hello there, I made this card months ago but didn't share it here earlier as I made a video showing how I made it but at the time my editing software was broken. It will be difficult for me to edit it now but I still thought I would share the card with you. I have used the Hero Arts Many Dots set and the layout was inspired by these amazing cards by Shari Carrol.

Yellow Butterflies

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am obsessed with butterflies! :0) Sorry to use them again but as soon as I saw the latest CASE Study Challenge I had this idea in mind. 

I love the sketch that Lisa Spangler used on her card and thought it would look pretty with butterflies. I loved her background too. I have used the Hero Arts Envelope Pattern on mine and inked it lightly with PTI Lemon Tart ink. It is very subtle but I love the effect and I just love those butterflies!

Because you cannot really see the background effect in the top pictures I just wanted to darken one to show you:

Anniversary Wishes

Here is a quick card I made for my aunt & uncle's wedding anniversary. I have based the layout of the card on the Retrosketches #15 sketch. I have simply taken a sheet of PTI SS White CS and made it into a card base. I have taken a sheet from the Doodlebug Sweet Cakes Collection and cut it out with a Nestabilities Labels 1 die and added this to the base, cutting off the excess on the left side. I have wrapped it with Doodlebug Doodle twine and tied in a bow. I have stamped the Waltzingmouse Stamps sentiment and cut out with an SU! Word Window punch and added with 3D foam pads. Doodlebug Jewels added to finish.

Birthday Friend

Here is a card I made for my friend who likes the colour pink {you never would have guessed hey?!}. Whilst I had the WMS set still out I thought I would use it on this card. I have frist taken a sheet of PTI SS CS and stamped the greeting along the top; the 'birthday' with PTI Raspberry Fizz ink and the 'happy' and 'my friend' with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I have rounded the top right corner using my WRMK Corner Chomper on the 1/2" setting. I have applied PTI Raspberry Fizz Pattern Paper on the bottom half of the piece and wrapped PTI Raspberry Fizz Grosgrain Ribbon around. I have adhered a PTI Raspberry Fizz Button with DB Doodle Twine and finished off with DB Jewels. I have adhered the panel to the card base with 3D adhesive squares.

LIM - Header Inspiration

This week over at Less Is More Mandi & Chrissie have set us the fab challenge of making a card using the LIM header as out inspiration. My card is made for the wonderful Jules who's Birthday it is today. Since Jules is a SU! demonstrator and kindly keeps me in supply of all my fave SU! products I thought I would use an SU! stamp set for her card. I have first taken a white card blank and stamped the flourish from the SU! Bliss set using Memento Desert Sand ink and then stamped the butterfly from the set using Memento Rich Cocoa ink but stamped it off once before stamping on my card. I have stamped the greeting from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Say It Loud set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and added two SU! Rhinestones to finish. Happy Birthday Jules, hope you have a great day! Sketch N Stash 89

Hi guys, first of all I am really sorry that this post is a week late. I was taken ill during the bank holiday weekend and ended up in hospital. Since I came out I got worse and ended back at my GPs. I have been signed off work for a week and still not feeling great but wanted to just come on here to add this card as it's so late.

This fortnight we have a great card designed by the lovely Sarah-Jane, here it is:

For my card I used PTI Aqua Mist CS and Pattern Paper for the background, a CC Designs Pixie Pet stamp {old neglected stash} for the image coloured with Copics and the message is a Waltzingmouse Stamps sentiment {new stash} stamped and then cut using a MFT Die-Namics Tab. **I will add proper details here when I am feeling better**

Happy Birthday Dad

Hi all, I came across THIS gorgous card on Pinterest by Debby Hughes and I thought it would be great for a male birthday. I have made this card for my dad. I first took some PTI Rustic White CS and made this into the base. I have then taken a layer of PTI Soft Stone CS and added this on top with 3D adhesive squares. I have then cut MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally, Basic Grey Basics Kraft and Basics White papers using the PTI Double Ended Banner die and added these to the layer. I have cut more PTI Rustic White CS using the PTI Happy Day Die and added this on top with more 3D adhesive squares. I have stamped this using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink with the sentiments from the Waltzingmouse Fre Spirit Sentiment set. I have finished off my adding buttons from my stash with SU! Linen Thread.

Easter Cards Part One

Hi all, here are the first two Easter cards I made. Both are using the The Greetings Farm Lucky Bunnies set stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured with Copic Markers. The papers are Doodlebug Hello Spring Collection. Shapes cut out using Nestabilities dies. The tag for the first card was cut using a SU! Tiny Tag punch and the greeting is from the PTI Mixed Messages set. The second card uses the greeting from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Compact Sentiments set.

LIM - Aqua

I have made this card for a good friend of mine who reads my blog. I hope she doesn't mind seeing it on here before she receives it but I was inspired by the latest Less Is More challenge of Aqua for her card. I would like to take a moment to say Happy First Birthday to LIM. I have to say I love this challenge, just my kind of style and thanks to LIM, I have been utilising my PTI stash. I have missed a few due to my health but always try and get card done even if it is a true challenge for me. Thanks Chrissie & Mandi for a great challenge blog.

So for my card I have first taken some PTI Stampers Select White CS for the card base and then stamped the bottom part using the PTI Polka Dots Basics II set using PTI Aqua Mist ink. I have then stamped the swirl from the PTI Fancy Flourishes set int he same ink. I have cut a PTI Double Ended Banner from PTI Aqua Mist CS {my first ever purchase from PTI four years ago!} and added this to the base between the stamped images. I have cut a PTI Butterfly from PTI Aqua Mist Felt and then PTI Linen Vellum and added this on top with DB Mini Jewels added to the centre. I have stamped the greeting from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Fancy Phrases set with Memento Tuxedo Black and then finished the card off with more DB Mini Jewels. I have stamped the inside with one of the smaller Polka Dot Basics II stamps.

Sweethearts

Here is a card I have made inspired by the wonderful Stephanie (thank you hun!), I loved the colours on her card so I have used them on mine. I have first taken some PTI Kraft CS and made this into a card base then added a strip of PTI SS White CS down the middle. I have used the Waltzingmouse Stamps Sweethearts Set and stamped the heart in PTI Pure Poppy ink then the greeting in PTI True Black ink. I have wrapped around with PTI True Black Satin Luxe Ribbon and tied at the front. I have then added a PTI Pure Poppy button stitched with WRMK Floss and added tiny black rhinestones to finish.

Clean & Simple Card Class

I am taking part in the online Clean & Simple Card Class and the first day was about clean anad simple sketches. Here is my take on the sketch with two little cards. For the first one I have taken a white card blank and cut it to 4"x4". I have then cut a small panel to add to the middle and stamped the greeting {from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Fancy Phases Set} in the bottom right corner and then added punched out butterflies above with teeny rhiinestones in the centre. The panel has been added to the card with 3D foam pads. For the second card {my fave I think} I have done the same but die cut hearts {from the PTI Love Lives Here Die Set} and added these with 3D foam pads also.
