Happy Mothers Day

I hope all the mum's out there are having a lovely day :0) Here is the card I made for my mum and along with my brother we are taking her out for dinner later. I stamped 'Lazy Days' with Stazon ink and coloured it in with Coloursoft pencils and Sansador using a paperstump. I have then cut this out and mounted to purple Bazzill CS and added to the base. I have made the base by layering up 2 shades of Bazzill CS and wrapped them with some organza ribbon. I have added 2 Prima flowers with glitter brads to the bottom corner of the image and 3 gem stones to the top. I have swiped ink around the edges of a Craftwork Cards Mini Message and added this with 3D foam pads.

STAMPS: Lazy Days by Penny Black. INK: Stazon Jet Black, Doodlebug Lilac. CS: Bazzill, Craftwork Cards Softies. ACCESSORIES: Prima Got Flowers Deux, Papermania glitter brads, Papermania gem stones, Organza ribbon from Ribbon Oasis.

New Baby Elephants

First I would like to say thank you to Natalie, Julie and Sue for enabling me to buy this cute stamp. They didn't know it but seeing their gorgeous new stash made me go onto the Little Claire's Designs website and I just couldn't resist this gorgeous stamp! It is really massive and I think is made to be used with shrink plastic but I thought I would give it a go first using it as a stamp on to a card. I stamped the image with Stazon onto a piece of card and coloured it in with watercolour pencils. I have mounted it to purple Bazzill CS and then onto a square card blank. I have added 3 mini gem stones into two of the corners and brushed purple ink around the edges of a Craftwork Cards Mini Message and added this to the corner with 3D foam.

STAMPS: Little Claire Designs. INK: Stazon Jet Black, Doodlebug Lilac. CS: Anita's card blank, Bazzill. ACCESSORIES: Papermania gem, stones, Craftwork Cards Mini Message.

Get Well Soon

I have this card following Nicola's (My Paper World) sketch #5. I have stamped Feeling Poorly with Brilliance ink and then coloured her in with watercolour pencils. I have then cut her out and mounted her to bright pink CS. She has been added to a base of more bright pink CS followed by a layer of light pink CS that has been put through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I have added ribbon accross the bottom of the bright pink layer and added a get well soon peel off above. 3 little gem stones added to the top.

STAMPS: Elzybells NA Feeling Poorly. INK: Brilliance Graphite Black. CS: Doodlebug, Papertrey Ink. ACCESSORIES: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Woodware mini messages peel offs, Papermania gem stones, pink stain ribbon.

I have made this card for my Dad to say thank you for coming round to put up some new lights in my house. The image is from Microsft Clip Art and I have coloured it in with watercolour pencils, cut out and added to the base. The base has been made by layering some Dovecraft paper on to some Bazzill CS. The greeting has been stamped and then cut out into a bookplate, this has been attached with small brads.

Dragonfly Notecard

Thank you for all the lovely good luck messages about my presentation. I had it yesterday and it went well I think. I was very nervous though. Unfortunately I don't get my results until April.

I made this little notecard for accompany the brads to Jo that she won. I have simply stamped straight on to the card. The HOTP greeting with stamped Stazon ink and the A Muse dragonfly with chalk ink. I have then added 3 gem stones in the corner.

My First Sizzix Character!

Apologies I haven't been around much lately. I have been so busy with university work that I have had hardly any time to make any cards sadly. I had a 2,500 word essay to do last week (now handed in) and this week I have a 20 minute presentation to do on Thursday (Argghhh my worst nightmare!) so I am busy writing and preparing for that.

Thankfully I had a small amount of time to make a card for my cousin who graduated a little while ago. I decided to get on and make the card without the PB stamp that I wanted as I was running out of time. I saw the Sizzix graduation outfit at The Glitter Pot and thought it was ideal. I have simply made the sizzix character with lots of different CS and added this to a DL card blank with 3D foam pads. I have added a strip of black Bazzill Bling CS accross the bottom of the card and added a Mini Message, again with 3D foam pads. I had to draw the face on myself (hoping to get my hands on the rub-ons soon), I know it is not great but it is my first attempt. My cousin is a fellow cardmaker so I hope she will understand the thought that went into making this card! Apologies the pic is so small but this is as big as I can get it!

CS: Craftwork Cards Softies, Bazzill Bling, Bazzill, Payper Box. ACCESSORIES: Sizzix Dress Ups Body die set, Sizzix Dress Ups Girl Hair die set, Sizzix Dress Ups Gradulation die set, Craftwork Cards Mini Messages.

Natty K's Blog Candy Challenge

Natty K over at Crafting Fun! is giving away some lovely blog candy. The challenge is to make a birthday card mainly with the colour pink. Here is my effort. I have stamped Elzybells NA Birthday Girl with Brilliance ink and then coloured her in with watercolour pencils. I have then cut her out using my Nestabilities dies and added her to the base with 3D foam pads. The base has simply been made by adding a piece of pink card that has been put through my Cuttlebug using my new Swiss Dots embossing folder on to a small card blank made from Papertrey CS. I have then added a Craftwork Cards Mini Message that has been swiped with pink ink around the sides to finish.

STAMPS: Birthday Girl by Elzybells NA. INK: Brilliance Graphite Black, Doodlebug Bubblegum. CS: Doodlebug, Papertrey Ink. ACCESSORIES: Nestabilities dies, Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug, Mini Messages by Craftwork Cards.
