Spellbinders | Nordic Ornaments 3 Ways

Hello there, I was over on the Spellbinders Blog yesterday sharing three projects using the new Winter Tales Collection by Zsoka Marko, which was released on the 14th September. My projects today focus on the Nordic Ornaments Etched Dies.

The collection is Nordic/Scandinavian inspired and although great for Christmas/holidays and winter, I think some of the products can be used all year round too!

My first project uses the larger of the Nordic Ornaments as an actual ornament or tag. I love the shape of this ornament and thought that it would work well as a tag. I went with with a purple theme, with small pops of green and red. I did not add a sentiment as I think it would work well for a few occasions.

My second project uses the longer of the two Nordic Ornaments for a mini slimline card. I also used the fabulous Ski Lodge Embossing Folder, which is also part of the Winer Tales Collection for the background. This has become a big favourite of mine! I went with traditional Nordic colours of red, blue and white for this one. The sentiment is from the Peace & Joy Stamp Set

For my last project, I wanted to show that you can embellish the ornaments however you wish! They make the perfect shape/backdrop for lots of different products and designs. Here I used foliage and flowers from the Parcel & Post Christmas Decorations and Christmas Blooms sets.

  1. Amazing cards Michelle - the ornaments themselves are beautiful but it is what you add with them that really makes them shine even more! I particularly love your third project with the little candy canes, holly and poinsettia as it screams Christmas, but I also love the traditional colours of the ornaments on the mini slimline. The colour combination on your tag is gorgeous too - I hope the recipient would hold onto that and not just chuck it in the bin afterwards! Such beautiful inspiration - as always you make me want everything but that embossing folder is a definite, it's so good for so many cards. Thank you for sharing all the gorgeousness with us!
