VIDEO | Sunflower Wreath

Hello there, I was over on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel on Friday, sharing a card using the beautiful Sunflower Wreath Die-namics that were released as part of the Sending Sunflowers Card Kit. You can buy the components separately though, too! :)

I started off by die cutting the MFT Sunflower Wreath Die-namics from cardstock. I used two yellows for the flower petals, MFT Milk Chocolate Cardstock for the flower centres and two shades of green for the leaves. I also die cut some of the leaf fronds from the MFT Farmhouse Foundations Die-namics set.

The sunflowers were adhered together first, using MFT On-Point Precision Glue. I then adhered the actual wreath piece to a US A2 sized white card base. The sunflowers were adhered on top with thin foam squares. I then arranged all of the leaves and foliage around the sunflowers, adhering with the liquid glue.

The sentiment from the MFT Itty Bitty Basics Stamp Set was stamped on to MFT Black Licorice Cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip using the MFT Itty Bitty Strips Die-namics and adhered to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few gold gems.

As I mention in the video, the card ended up more spring/summer like than I had hoped. I was going for a more autumnal look. I still think it is pretty though! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I will be back a little later with another post but in the meantime, I hope you have a lovely day!

  1. It really is a beautiful wreath card and I always love a wreath card! I like the sunflower colours just as they are and the whole thing just looks gorgeous with all the differing bits of foliage and the gold gems at the end - simply perfect!
