Clearly Besotted Teasers | Perfect Peonies

Hello there and welcome to day one of the May 2018 Clearly Besotted teasers. The new products release on the 1st May and from now until then, the Design Team will be sharing teasers with you using the new sets. My card today uses two new sets - Perfect Peonies and Scrumptious Thank You.

I started my card off by stamping the peonies image from the Perfect Peonies set on to some Bristol smooth cardstock, using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. I taped this down to a board and then coloured it using Arteza Real Brush Pens. Unfortunately, Arteza does not label their pens with what colours they are (at least for the 48 set) so I cannot list them, but I used three shades of pink for the flower heads, two shades of green, a yellow and a teal colour for the leaves and blue mixed with grey for the background. I applied the colour with the pen and then blended out with water and a brush.

I took a Slate A2 card base and die cut the front panel using the Lil' Inker Designs Quilted Stitched Pattern die. The image panel was die cut using a SSS Stitched Rectangle die and added to the card base with foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Scrumptious Thank You set and stamped this with Versamark Ink on to black cardstock. This was cut out and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Sparkling Clear sequins with Multi Medium Matte glue.

I received the Arteza pens as a Christmas present last year. This is the first time that I have properly used them and I love them! They work similar to the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, although I do not think you need both, they do have different colour palettes. For more teasers, do check out what Stephanie, Lisa and Keren have been up to. Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday To You

Hello there, today I have a card to share that I made for my brother for his birthday. I wanted to combine alcohol ink somewhere on it so I went to town creating lots of backgrounds with various shades of alcohol ink. I ended up with quite a few different backgrounds which I am hoping to make into cards in the next few weeks. I ended up using one of the more dotty design pieces on this card and loved how it looked after die cutting it.

I started off creating my alcohol ink piece. I first took a piece of Yupo paper and added various shades of blue and turquoise/aqua colours to it. I also added in some dots with the blending solution too. Once completed, I set this aside to dry. I then ran it through my Cuttlebug with the MFT Happy Birthday To You die. I also die cut the same die using white cardstock twice.

I took a white A2 card base and embossed the front using the SSS Chevron Pattern Die (sadly this has been discontinued so I have linked a very similar MFT die instead). I then stacked up the die cut letters and added them to the card, using the negative piece as a guide to line them up. I had planned on using the negative piece on a separate card but I didn't like how it came out so I decided to use the pieces and cut some stars from it. I used three sizes of the Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Stars dies. These were added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added three PPP Clear Droplets with Multi Medium Matte.

SSS Chevron Pattern Die - discontinued

I am looking forward to using some of the other backgrounds I made with alcohol inks. I love that you can use the same colours and the background comes out differently every time! Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great week!

Love & Kindness

Hello there, as mentioned yesterday, I am back today to share another card using the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness stamp set, as part of Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness challenge. This card also uses ink smooshing but in pink and purple tones.

I took a piece of watercolour paper and stamped the sentiment with Veramark ink on to it. I then heat embossed this with WOW! Bright White Embossing Powder. Once melted, I smooshed over the TH Distress Inks. I then sprayed it with a mist of Perfect Pearls and water.

Once dried, I die cut the panel using a SSS Stitched Circle die. I then took a white A2 card base and cut the front panel using the Lil' Inker Designs Quilted Stitched Pattern die. The circle piece was added on top with foam sheet. I then took three little hearts, die cut using the SSS Mini Heart die set, and added them on top. I finished off by adding a little Wink of Stella on them.

CB Teasers | Introducing Ribbon Flowers & Everything Changes

Hello there, today is THE day! All the new Clearly Besotted products will be released this evening and I have another two teasers today to share with you. The first one uses the new Ribbon Flowers stamp set.

I first took a cardstock square which had been cut using one of the squares from the SSS Stitched Squares Die Collection. This was stamped with one of the stem images, as well as one of the flower head images from the set. I love this set because you can mix and match them all to make whatever flowers you want.

I then took the sentiment from the set and stamped this using black ink. The panel was added to a purple card base with the top layer cut using the Lil' Inker Designs Quilted Stitched Pattern die. I finished off by adding a little clear Wink of Stella to the flower.

My next card uses the new Everything Changes stamp set, along with one of the sentiment from the Ribbon Flowers set.

As you can see, my card is super simple! I first took an A2 card base and stamped the butterflies from the Everything Changes set on to it using Hero Arts Red to Pink Ombre Ink. The sentiment is simply stamped on top using black ink.

I thought about adding sequins or rhinestones to the card but decided I really like the simplicity of it like it is :)

That's it! You have seen all my teasers using the new sets. I hope you have enjoyed seeing them? Stephanie will be sharing the full reveal shortly, along with links to the rest of the DT also sharing today. I would also just like to thank our Guest Designer Rebecca, for being fab again this month! I will be back this afternoon with my release video and sample re-cap. I hope you can join me for that.

CB Teasers | Just Darling

Hello there and welcome to the start of the new Clearly Besotted teasers. All the new products will be available to purchase on the 5th March 2015 at 10pm GMT. Until that time myself and the rest of the DT, along with our amazing Guest Designers Jen Nelson, Jo Nevill, Lucy Abrams and Nicole Picadura, will be sharing teasers with you.

My card today uses the new Just Darling stamp set and matching dies. I adore the Clearly Besotted flowers sets and this is no exception. I started off by stamping the Iris image using MFT Grout Grey Hybrid Ink and then coloured it using Copic Markers, adding a little white gel pen to the centres. This was then cut out using the matching die.

I then took a white A2 card base and added a strip of purple cardstock down the left side, I then took a white piece that had been cut using the Lil' Inker Stitched Pattern Die and added this to the right. The flower image was then adhered on top of where the cardstock meet with foam tape. The sentiment, from the Wild Thing stamp set was stamped, cut out and added with more foam. I have finished off by adding a few sequins and rhinestones.

Happily Ever After

Hello there, did you hear the news? the wedding of the year happened last weekend! I wanted to send Aimes and her new hubby a card to congratulate them and wish them all the best in their future together. For the card, I started off by running the Lil' Inker Design Quilted Stitched Pattern die through my Cuttlebug on to a piece of white cardstock. This was then adhered to a white card base.

I took the Simon Says Stamp Tilted Banner die, cut this with more white cardstock and stamped the sentiment on top. The sentiment is from the SSS Stitched Banner Sayings set. I then took the SSS Sweetheart Tag die and cut this using paper from the Doodlebug Lovebugs and Lovebirds collections. I also cut a few from the SSS Mini Hearts dies too and scattered these on to the card.

I love all the different shaped hearts :) Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope you have a great weekend!
