Gerda Steiner Designs | Whooo Is Having A Birthday?

Hello there, I am delighted to be guest designing with Gerda Steiner Designs today. They kindly sent me the Owl Rather Be With You stamp set to play with and let me tell you, it is so cute! Great for so many different occasions.

I started off my card by taking a panel of white cardstock and stamping one of the owls from the set on to it using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then masked this off and stamped the branch below him so that it look like he is standing on it. I masked this off also and then stamped three balloons from the Happy Hoppy set above. These again were masked off as I went. I then added masking tape around the sides of the panel.

I took the MFT Mini Cloud Border Stencil and using an ink blending tool, blended Broken China Distress Ink across the background to create a sky. All the masks were removed and the sentiments stamped with more black ink. The images were coloured with Copic Markers (the colours I used are listed below). The panel was then added to the front of an A2 black card base with foam sheet and DST.

For the inside, I took another panel of white cardstock and blended clouds on to this too. I then stamped the sentiment with black ink to complete the sentiment from the front of the card.

I had such great fun creating the card that I decided to create a little tag too. I die cut the rounded tag from the Clearly Besotted Tag Along set from white cardstock and blended clouds on to this, as I did with the card. I then stamped the 'thank you' sentiment from the Brush Bunny set along the bottom. On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped another of the owls from the Owl Rather Be With You set, coloured with Copic Markers and fussy cut out (although there are dies available). This was added on to the tag with foam tape. To finish off, I added twine through the top of the tag.

Easter Bunny

Hello there, I am back today to share another card as part of Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs. Today I have combined two bunny sets for an Easter card.

I started off by die cutting the CB Rounded Tag Die from white cardstock. I then stamped the Bunny from the GSD Happy Hoppy stamp set on to it using black ink. This was masked off (using mask paper) and then I stamped the grass from the GSD Brush Bunny set. The mask was removed and then the images coloured with Copic Markers. I then added some Doodlebug Bumblebee Twine through the top of the tag.

I took a white A2 card base and added a panel of MFT Dots & Stripes Sorbet paper on to it, which was cut using the largest of the SSS Stitched Rectangle dies. I then added the tag on top with foam tape. I also added a few Doodlebug Glitter Sprinkles around the tag.

For the inside, I took a panel of white cardstock (again cut using the SSS Stitched Rectangle Dies) and stamped the sentiment from the Brush Bunny set on to it. I cut two of the MFT Fresh Cut Grass Die using the MFT Dots & Stripes Fresh paper. These were added at the bottom of the panel. I then took the Easter egg image (again from the Brush Bunny set) and stamped these on to more patterned paper and fussy cut them out. These were popped in to the grass. To finish off, I added a little clear Wink of Stella to the Easter eggs and Glossy Accents to the bunny's nose.

VIDEO | Birthday Bunny

Hello there, today I have the pleasure of Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs. If you haven't already heard of the company, they have a great range of cute clear stamps, as well as digi ones too. For my card today I am using the cute Happy Hoppy set.

For my card, I first took some white cardstock and cut this using the rectangle ME Femme Frames die to make a panel. On to this I stamped the sentiment, bunny and balloon from the set. I masked off the bunny before stamping the balloon. I then drew in the balloon string with a Copic Multiliner pen.

I took the cloud dies from the CB Sky's The Limit die collection and cut these from masking paper. These were added to panel. I then used my Copic Airbrush to colour in the sky using three shades of blue Copic marker. The bunny, balloon and clouds were then coloured using Copic markers. To finish off I added the panel to a white A2 card base with foam tape, followed by a coating of Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to the balloon and then the bunny's nose.
