Spellbinders | Sir Skeleton

Hello there, I hope you are well! Today I have two cards to share using Halloween products from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders. The first uses the Halloween Hugs collection, and the second, Simon Hurley Framed Frights Stamp & Die Set.

My first card uses the Spellbinders Exclusive Sir Skeleton Etched Dies. As the name suggests, this die set is exclusive to the Spellbinders shop. I die cut the skeleton from Spellbinders Classic White and Raven ColorWheel Cardstock. 

I cut the bow tie and hat band from Spellbinders Lavender ColorWheel Cardstock. The hat is cut from Spellbinders Matte Metallic Onyx Treasured Cardstock and the monocle from Spellbinders Brushed Silver Treasured Cardstock. He was assembled and adhered using liquid glue. 

I took a 6.25" x 3.5" panel of Spellbinders Lilac Color Wheel Cardstock and added ink blending around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and Black Soot. I splattered Spellbinders Raven Splatter Effects on top and set it aside to dry. Once dry, it was adhered to a white mini slimline card base using tape runner adhesive. 

The skeleton was adhered on top using thin foam tape. I hot foiled the Spellbinders Spooky Sentiments Press + Foil Plate onto white cardstock using Spellbinders Opaque Black Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. It was die cut out and the 'boo to you' one adhered to the card. To finish, I embellished with Spellbinders Prism AB Color Essentials Gems. 

My second card uses the Spellbinders + Simon Hurley Creates Framed Frights Stamp & Die Set. I stamped the male skeleton image from the set onto white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. It was coloured using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supply list) and die cut out using the coordinating die. 

I took a 4.25" x 5.5" panel of Spellbinders Lilac ColorWheel Cardstock and added ink blending to the bottom right-hand corner and bottom of the panel using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and Black Soot. I then stamped the sentiment on top using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. 

I splattered Spellbinders Raven Splatter Effects onto the panel and set it aside to dry. Once dry, it was adhered to an A2 sized Lilac card base using tape runner. The image was adhered on top using thin foam tape, with the excess cut off the bottom using scissors. To finish, I embellished with Spellbinders Prism AB Color Essentials Gems and then added Crystal Glaze to his monocle.

I know that not everyone is into Halloween (I don't actually celebrate it myself and I don't send the cards out that I make, but I do enjoy making them!) but I hope I still may have shared some inspiration with you regardless.
