Concord & 9th | Holiday Home

Hello there, I am delighted to be sharing my second card, whilst guest designing with Concord & 9th for their latest release, today. I am using the Holiday Home Bundle. This set is designed to be used with the Pop Up Base Dies for a dimensional card but as you can see, can be used on it's own too. There is an arched frame in the set to frame the scene, but I decided that instead of using it as a frame, I would use the negative (the arch) on it's own for an arched shaped card base!

I started off my card by creating the card base. I die cut two of the arched pieces from the Concord & 9th Holiday Home Die Set from white cardstock. I scored a line towards the top of one to create a hinge and added adhesive to it. It was then adhered to the other one. I die cut another arch from Concord & 9th Aqua Sky Cardstock and stamped the Concord & 9th Everyday Plaid Background Stamp on top using Concord & 9th Aqua Sky Ink. It was adhered to the card base using tape runner. 

I die cut out the fireplace from Concord & 9th cardstock in White and Black. It was assembled and adhered to the left of the card using liquid glue. Whilst the fireplace is made to be just half of it, I did need to cut a little extra off the side to make it smaller. I then die cut the fire and logs from Buttercup, Sunflower, Clementine, Peanut, Hazelnut & Mushroom. I adhered them together and adhered it on top. Again, cutting off the excess from the side using scissors. 

There is a garland in the set but I wanted a fuller one, so I cut the foliage pieces from the Concord & 9th Holiday Trimmings Die Set from Concord & 9th Tidepool Cardstock and adhered them to the fireplace to look like a garland. I die cut the bows from Concord & 9th Aster Cardstock and adhered them on top. The candles were die cut from Concord & 9th Buttercup, White, and Black Cardstock, assembled and adhered to the top of the fire place. The snow globe was cut from Concord & 9th Peanut, Juniper and White Cardstock, adding a little Concord & 9th Aqua Sky Ink to the glass part. 

I die cut the tree from Concord & 9th Juniper Cardstock and stamped the details on top from Concord & 9th Holiday Home Stamp Set using Concord & 9th Juniper Ink. The tree was assembled and adhered to the card. I die cut the ornaments from Concord & 9th Lilac and Aster Cardstock and adhered them on top. The presents were also cut from Lilac and Aster cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the Concord & 9th Holiday Home Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. It was cut into two strips and adhered to the card using thin foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Concord & 9th Lilac and Aster Enamel Dots.
