Hero Arts | Add Interest to Backgrounds

Hello there, I am over on the Hero Arts Blog today, sharing a card using the new Perforation Cover Plate. This die can be used in so many different ways but for today, I thought I would use it to add interest to a background.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure.

I die cut the Hero Arts Perforation Cover Plate from Hero Arts Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock and added ink blending on top with Hero Arts Aquatic, Kiwi and Paradise Core Inks. I splatted Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer Mist on top and set it aside to dry.

I stamped and heat embossed the floral image from Hero Arts Sweet As Honey onto vellum and die cut out. It was adhered to the panel and the excess wrapped around the edges before adhering to a white card base. The sentiment from Hero Arts Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL was heat embossed onto Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock. To finish, I embellished with Hero Arts Clear Enamel Dots.

  1. Oh I love this! I thought when I first saw it that you had used the coloured shimmer sprays but I was wrong. The ink colours are beautiful and they look so pretty with the vellum flower spray. It's a great use for the die cut panel as it adds interest but doesn't detract from the rest of the card. Great idea for it! xx
