VIDEO | Glitter Cardstock Accents

Hello there, today I have a card and video to share using a new Glitter Cardstock Set from Altenew. I love Altenew Glitter Cardstock as it comes in small packs. I do not use a huge amount of glitter in general, obviously it is not good for the environment but also for me, it can be a little overbearing, so smaller sheets work well for me!

I started off my card by die cutting the Altenew Bird of the Mountain Die Set. I cut some layers from Altenew Sea Shore Gradient Cardstock, Altenew Shimmering Shore Glitter Cardstock Set and white cardstock. I also cut the beak, legs and eye from black cardstock. I assembled and adhered the bird, using the instructions on the packaging, with liquid glue.

I die cut leaves from the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Open Peony Layering Die Set from the darkest shade in the Altenew Shimmering Shore Glitter Cardstock Set. I also cut an Altenew Terrific Tag Die from white cardstock. I took a 4" x 5.5" white card base and adhered two sets of leaves on top with liquid glue. I then adhered the other set to the tag. I threaded twine through the top of the tag and tied in a bow and then adhered it to the card with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

I die cut another two of the bird's body from white cardstock and adhered them behind the bird for added dimension and stability. It was adhered to the card, perching on the bottom of the tag. I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more foam tape.

I mentioned in the video that I ended up adding more glitter cardstock to the card than I had planned but I do think those leaves look pretty! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day and a great week ahead!

  1. So so pretty! That bird is a gorgeous die set. I think all the glitter accents tie in beautifully Michelle, whether on the bird or as the foliage. Love how this card came together, one of my favourites of yours.
