VIDEO | MFT A Very Crafty Holiday 2021

Hello there, I am over on the MFT YouTube Channel today sharing a video with tips on mass producing cards as part of their A Very Crafty Holiday 2021 series. I am not going to lie, I am not big on mass producing, I find it a bit boring! Having said that, I do like to mass produce cards at Christmas time because I usually have a lot of cards to send out.

In the video, I only create four cards, this is because I usually do not like to mass produce in huge quantities. So I will pick a few different designs and then make maybe 5-10 of that design and move on to the next. I share more tips and tricks for mass producing in the video, including creating cards assembly style.

For these cards, I used the MFT Dino-mite Christmas Stamp Set and stamped the images on to white cardstock with MFT Extreme Black Ink. They were coloured with Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area) and then die cut out with the MFT Dino-mite Christmas Die-namics

For the backgrounds, I thought it would be quick and easy to use patterned paper and I love the papers from the MFT Holly Jolly Paper Pad. The two that I used today look like skies with snow falling. I cut them using an MFT A2 Stitched Circle Stax Die-namics and then cut a further two from white cardstock.

These are going to act as snowbanks once I cut them down further using the MFT Stitched Slimline Snow Drifts Die-namics. The snowbanks were adhered to the backgrounds using MFT On-Point Precision Glue and then the piece adhered to A2 white card bases with tape runner. The dinosaurs were then added on top with foam tape.

The sentiments, from the MFT Itty Bitty Holiday Stamp Set were stamped on to black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. They were then die cut using the MFT Itty Bitty Strips Die-namics and added to the cards with more foam tape. to finish off, I added a few Bubbles around the sentiments.

  1. When I started making cards I didn’t make two of the exact same design. But now I will make 5 or so of the same design. I agree I much prefer to make unique designs vs mass production however for the holiday cards it is too much to individualize all of them. Your dinosaur cards are adorable. Take care.
