Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today for the release of the Craft-A-Flower Cosmos Layering Die Set. I am beginning to fall in love with these layering die sets! You can use them in so many different ways. I simply cut mine from Gradient Cardstock (which you can buy as part of a bundle with the die set) but you can ink blend them, watercolour them - the sky's the limit!
We are celebrating the release with a fun inspiration and prize filled blog hop. More details on the hop below :)
I started off my card by die cutting the flower heads from the Altenew Craft-A-Flower Cosmos Layering Die Set from Altenew Shades of Purple Gradient Cardstock Set, the centres of flowers were cut from two shades of yellow cardstock from the Altenew Summer Afternoon Gradient Cardstock Set. The leaves were then simply cut from one of the shades in the Altenew Green Meadows Gradient Cardtsock Set. I layered up the flower heads, adhering the layers with Altenew 2 in 1 Precision Glue Pen.
I took an A2 white card base and scored lines in to the front using a score board and the Altenew Crafter's Essential Bone Folder (this bone folder has a beautiful sharp tip to it so it is perfect for embossing like this). The leaves were added to the card with glue pen. The flower heads were then added on top with foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Wallpaper Arts Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Sparkling Clear sequins.
