Using & Organising Swatches

Hello there, today I thought I would share with you how I am organising my swatches. A little while ago Jennifer McGuire kindly shared downloads for making swatches for your ink pads. I loved the fact that they were printed so they were neat and tidy ... you know I am all about the clean lines ;)
I decided to go ahead and make swatches for all my ink pads as well as my Distress Markers, Wink of Stella pens, mists, embossing powders and my watercolours are in there also. At the back I have swatches of my two most used cardstocks - Papertrey Ink and Bazzill Cardshoppe. I have the little 2x2" cardstock squares kept in the Simple Stories Insta Pockets and those all kept in the binder (thank you to Stephanie Klauk for the idea). The binder fits nicely on the top shelf of my Raskog :)
Here is one of the pages for my TH Distress Inks, I love how pretty it looks:

Here is a video showing all the pages:

I hope this might help any of you who haven't already seen this idea from Jennifer. I have been using it for a little while now it has really helped me in choosing inks and cardstocks and knowing the names of the them. I can also see quickly at a glance which supplies I have. Thanks so much for visiting me today :)

  1. Morning Michelle, I'm also using the Simple Stories pockets and Jennifer's swatch templates. I've not got them in a folder yet though, I've just put a ring through the wallets. I love the folder you've used so maybe I'll get one of those too. Thanks for the video,a fab as always!!! Rebecca x

  2. Thanks so much for sharing. I was trying to work out a way to organise my swatches. This is a fab idea!!

  3. Michelle your organization is stellar. I realize you are not taking full credit to the idea, but you have it organized just perfectly. So pretty!

  4. Thank you so much for this awesome post!! Just found the link from your craft room tour!! Love the binders you store them in too!

  5. I love your inventory folder- it all looks so neat. I noticed that you had something written on the paper swatches.May I ask what information you have on the back?

    1. Hi Sandy, apologies for the delay in replying. Thank yuo so much for visiting. On the back of the Papertrey Ink swatches I have information on what other products I have in that colour - ribbon, ink, felt etc since all their colours match throughout their products. I also have the Copic markers that match that colour of cardstock. I hope that helps!

    2. And thank you for your kind comment!
