Hello to Hero Arts + Giveaway

Hello there, today I have a super exciting announcement to make. I will be joining the Hero Arts Creative Team in 2017. As I am sure you know, Hero Arts are well renowned in the industry for producing amazing, high quality products; as well as being environmentally friendly, and I have been a fan of them for years. To celebrate, I made a card (of course!) and I also have a giveaway to share.

For my card, I started off by stamping the Glasses Bold Prints Background Stamp on to a piece of aqua cardstock with Versamark ink. I then applied clear embossing powder and heat set. The panel was cut out using one of the dies from the Rectangle Infinity Die Collection. I took the Hello Stamp & Cut set and cut the hello die from black cardstock four times. These were layered up to create a dimensional word.

The sentiment, from the same Hello Stamp & Cut set, was stamped in black ink on to a piece of white cardstock and cut out. The glasses panel was adhered to a white A2 card base with foam tape and then the sentiment piece added on top with ATG. I then added the word die cut with Multi Medium Matte.

VIDEO | Craft Favourites 2016 - Dies

Hello there, today in my Craft Favourites 2016 series I am talking about dies. I have to be honest and say that I was very boring this year when it came to dies. I pretty much used the same ones over and over again from the last few years (Mama Elephant Femme Frames and the Simon Says Stamp stitched dies).

I do have a few to share though that I did really enjoy using, and hopefully next year, I will branch out a bit more and get back into die cutting. Here is a look:

VIDEO | Craft Favourites 2016 - Ink & Stamping Accessories

Hello there, today in my next instalment of my Craft Favourites of the year, I will be talking about my favourite ink pads and stamping accessories.

This year, I decided to invest in a Mini MISTI and I have to say, I love it! I do have the regular size but found that I wasn't using it much. It was a bit of a gamble getting the mini too, in case I didn't use that one either, but actually I use it quite a lot. I still like acrylic blocks but I am finding that I use the MISTI quite a bit and I think it is a great investment.

I am still using the same products to clean my stamps and most of the ink pads are the same too. The new ink pads that I came across this year were the dye ink pads from MFT. We got them over here in the UK and I have to say, they are great!

Here is a look at my favourite ink pads and stamping accessories:

What are the stamping accessories that you cannot live without? I would love to hear! Thanks so much for visiting me today. If you celebrate it, I hope you have a great Christmas, if you don't I hope you have a great two days. I will see you back here on the 27th :)

Santa's Wonderland

Hello there, today I have a card to share using the Neat & Tangled Santa's Wonderland stamp set that I made for a friend. This is such a cute stamp set, I will definitely be using it again next year.

I started off by taking a piece of white cardstock and cutting it with the largest of the SSS Stitched Rectangle dies. I then cut a piece of mask paper using the MFT Snow Drifts die. I added this to the bottom of the cardstock panel and then inked the sky with Distress Inks. I used Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. The Santa, sign and penguin from the set were stamped on to white cardstock, coloured with Copic Markers and then cut out using the coordinating dies.

The background panel was added to a white A2 card base with foam sheet and then I added the images on top with more foam tape. The sentiment, from the Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages set, was stamped on to cardstock and cut out using one of the MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips dies. This was also added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added Star Dust Stickles to the images.
