Spellbinders | Cuckoo Cottage Autumn

Hello there, as mentioned in my post yesterday, I am back today to share my autumnal cuckoo cottage card. Like the Christmas set, this one is an add-on to the Cuckoo Cottage Etched Dies and contains all autumnal elements - leaves, branches, squirrels, pumpkins, foxes, mushrooms etc.

I started off by die cutting the main Spellbinders Cuckoo Cottage Etched Dies from Spellbinders Alabaster and Fawn ColorWheel Cardstock. I also used Spellbinders Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock for the panelling and clock face, plus the cuckoo (with a layer of Spellbinders Beeswax ColorWheel Cardstock to show through for the beak) and shelf.

I adhered these pieces first, followed by the clock face and cuckoo. I then took the Spellbinders Harvest Time Etched Dies and cut the branches from Spellbinders Truffle Cardstock. These were adhered to the clock and gave me a platform to add the autumnal elements onto. I cut the gonk from Spellbinders Chiffon, Classic White, Raven and Cranberry ColorWheel Cardstock.

I cut the mushrooms from Spellbinders Poppy, Classic White and Alabaster ColorWheel Cardstock, the pumpkin from Spellbinders Carrot and Fern ColorWheel Cardstock, and the leaves from Spellbinders Beeswax and Peridot ColorWheel Cardstock. They were adhered to the clock using Bearly Art Glue and thin foam tape.

The clock was then adhered to a US A2 sized white card base using thin foam tape. I hot foiled the Spellbinders Autumn Sentiments BetterPress Plate onto white cardstock using Spellbinders Opaque Black Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. It was die cut out using the coordinating dies and adhered to the card with thin foam tape.

I definitely want to try and use the seasonal elements on non-clock cards too. They are so cute! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a great day!
