Hello there, today I have a bright (you need your sunglasses on for this one!) and summery card to share using the new Altenew Lush Botanicals: African Daisy 3D Embossing Folder & Die Set. This set is fab as not only can you cut the petals to make a beautiful flower using the wonderful keyhole system, you can also emboss them to add beautiful texture too!

disclosure.
I placed the die cuts into the
Altenew Lush Botanicals: African Daisy embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. I then set them aside to dry. Adding the ink onto the die cuts first adds moisture to the cardstock and helps them to not crack when being embossed. The flowers were then adhered together using the keyhole system and liquid glue.

key hole system - whats that ? lovely card btw
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, thank you so much for your kind comment. The keyhole system is a system by Altenew that they use to assemble their dies. In each layer there is a hole cut out in middle shaped like a keyhole. When you add the next layer on top, you line up that keyhole so that the pieces are all in the right place. Makes assembling flowers very easy! I show it better in some of my videos.
Deleteoooooo wow thats clever will go check out the video - thank you
