Simon Says Stamp | Birthday Flowers

Hello there, I hope you are well. Today I have a card to share using the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Background Stamp that was released as part of their You Are My Favorite release. You can see the other projects I made using the release here and here. I will admit, I am a person who likes more of a subtle background, so that is what I did today.

I started off by stamping the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Background Stamp onto a panel of Spellbinders Fog ColorWheel Cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied Hero Arts Fine Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. This gives a lovely tone-on-tone look with the added shine of the embossing powder. 

It was adhered flat to a US A2 sized white card base with tape runner adhesive. I then die cut the Simon Says Stamp Sunrise Stem Dies twice. I added ink blending to the flower petals using Altenew Bubblegum Dreams Fresh Dye Inks, plus a little Midnight Violet Fresh Dye Ink. 

I used Altenew Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Inks for the flower centres and Altenew Green Valley Fresh Dye Inks for the leaves. I adhered the petal layers together and then adhered the flower centres on top. I cut apart the leaves using scissors and arranged everything on my card. I adhered the leaves with liquid glue, followed by the flowers with thin foam tape. 

The sentiment, from the Simon Says Stamp You Stamp Set, was stamped onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more thin foam tape. To finish, I embellished with Spellbinders Color Essentials Opal Gems.
