Altenew | Craft-A-Flower Dendrobium Orchid Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, if you saw my announcement on social media over the weekend, you will have seen that I am delighted to have joinied the Altenew Card Design Team, as well as the Video Inspiration Team! I will be sharing a look at my new video series later in the month but for now, we are celebrating the release of the Craft-A-Flower: Dendrobium Orchid Layering Die Set. You can purchase the set separately, or with Gradient Cardstock in a bundle. We are celebrating the release with a fun blog hop, more details on that below.

I started off my card by die cutting the Altenew Craft-A-Flower Dendrobium Orchid Layering Die Set using Altenew New Purple Gradient Cardstock for the petals and Altenew Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock for the stem and leaves.

I cut the stem twice so that I could extend the length of it. I adhered the stems and leaves first on to a 5.5" x 4" (narrower so that I can have the flower overhanging the edge and it still fit in an A2 envelope) card base with Altenew 2 in 1 Precision Glue. I then layered up the petals (there is a guide with the set for how to layer them up which comes very much in handy!) and then adhered them on top of the leaves and stems.

I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Bubbles.
